RachelO I‘m intrigued by the diamond painting... 5mo
AsYouWish @RachelO It is amazing. It is like a paint by number kit. You get a canvas that has sticky stuff on it and lots of little pieces of plastic that you put into the correct spot. The pieces of plastic shimmer like diamonds when the light hits them. 5mo
RachelO @AsYouWish Sounds lovely! Kind of between painting by numbers and a jigsaw, perhaps? (With added sparkle 💫). I‘ve never come across this before! 5mo

TabbyGibby Are you me? I also am shy, have RBF, and played the flute in middle school. And definitely require lots of alone time! 6mo

#20thingsaboutme @LibrarianRyan

Phew, I had a really hard time figuring out what to write but here's my list! I have been enjoying reading all the others :)

@laur89 hey girl it's been awhile since I spoke to you. Maybe you're interested in this if you haven't already? :)

Lauram I hope you find it easy and are wildly successful (#20) 😊 6mo
akckitty @Lauram Thank you! Moving past grudges for me is a process that takes healing through the experiences and it's more of just being strong enough to work through the hurt rather than me not wanting to do it haha. So thanks a bunch for encouragement!! 6mo
RavenLovelyReads Cheers to #20! And- it‘s nice to see you back! 🤓 6mo

Texreader So fun to learn all about you. I only have a couple (or one) very close friend even though I‘m an extrovert. I get it. Friendships are hard. Hang on to what you‘ve got. 6mo
hes7 Yes, leggings! 6mo
Reggie Ughhh 20 is my constant struggle. Great list!!! 6mo
akckitty @hes7 thank goodness I'm not the only one lol 6mo
akckitty @Reggie thanks a ton! Yeah it's really hard. But in the end it'll be worth the mental / emotional relief? 6mo
akckitty @RavenLovelyReads thanks, and I'm happy to be back too! I appreciate the support 🤗 6mo
akckitty @Texreader this challenge has been a great one! Happy to feel more connected to the litsy community. I agree completely. Cherish what you have all the way! 6mo

Spencer_Labbe Nice! Red or white wine? Or both! 6mo
Kaye Nice to learn more about you ♥️ 6mo
Amiable Fellow nailbiter here 🖐🏼. Also picky about tea. And my son's fave color is orange! We had to paint his bedroom orange, even. 😀 6mo
CouronneDhiver Both! @Spencer_Labbe I‘m more particular about region/style than colour 🇮🇹 🇫🇷 🥂 6mo
CouronneDhiver 🙌🏽🙌🏽 How do you take your tea? @Amiable Which kind is your favourite? 6mo
Amiable @CouronneDhiver I'm a black tea purist. No herbals, no fruity teas, no greens. (I'll drink white tea on occasion, though.) I love Yunnans and Keemun. Will drink Assams, although I find them a bit too light for me. I like full-bodied teas. How about you? 6mo
CouronneDhiver Yep. You‘re hard core. 😂 I like orange pekoe, English breakfast, apple cinnamon, honey lemon and ... once in a blue moon, peppermint. Black - no milk no sugar. The no milk thing is a big family debate... like it‘s counter-culture or something. @Amiable 6mo
wanderinglynn Fellow band geek (me, flute & drum major) 🙌🏻 6mo
arubabookwoman My favorite color is orange too. Not too many of us around. It's been my favorite since I was in my teens and I'm nearing 70 now. Maybe because of my October birthday? 6mo
Spencer_Labbe @CouronneDhiver As you should be! Lol I'm super picky so I like red but if it's quality grape I'll drink anything 6mo
CouronneDhiver Fun! Do you still play now? It‘s been years since I picked up a horn... @wanderinglynn 6mo
CouronneDhiver It‘s the best. If I have to pick a distant second, it‘s yellow ... which is also unpopular, it seems. 🤔 @arubabookwoman 6mo
Trashcanman I like your vegetarian response!hehehehe 6mo
CouronneDhiver I do a gluten-free, vegetarian fast every winter/spring for Lent but, keep a regular diet the rest of the year... 🤷🏽‍♀️ Couldn‘t think of how else to explain that in short. 😂😂 @Trashcanman 6mo
wanderinglynn Sadly, no. My problem is I have too many interests, always finding new ones, and inevitably some fall by the wayside. 6mo
CouronneDhiver Ha! Hobby ADD. Preach 🙌🏽 @wanderinglynn 6mo
BiblioLitten Former vegetarian. 🙋🏻‍♀️ And our tea drinking choices match. 🤗 6mo
CouronneDhiver We were meant to be friends, I‘m sure of it 👏🏽👏🏽 @BiblioLitten 6mo
rohit-sawant I'm a low-key germaphobe, too! 6mo
CouronneDhiver Yes! 👊🏽 Three cheers for anti-bacterial wipes. Flu season creeps me out @rohit-sawant 6mo
GypsyKat I hate my own handwriting, too! 6mo

Kaye Our neighbor cat is like that. I‘ve never seen one so jumpy. You can‘t get anywhere near it, but every night, it peeks in our front door. If we try going to the door to talk to the cat, it runs. (edited) 1y
Readage @Kaye Hmmm makes me think something bad happened to cats like this 😕 1y
Kaye Could be. I asked the neighbor lady and she said the cat is like that even with them. It runs in to eat, then wants back out. None of them can pick it up or pet it. There are always 3 or 4 big old teen boys over there. Maybe they would scare a cat ? 1y
Readage @Kaye Perhaps !! Lol 1y

I have a chronic illness that kind of rules my life. I spend a lot of time at home because there are many days when I'm too sick to leave the house. I've always loved reading, but in 2015 I started really dedicating myself to it and it has helped so much with my illness-related depression. Now I have something immensely fulfilling that I can do from the comfort of my home. Reading has given me a way to live meaningfully. ❤️

Alisnazzy I can relate to this so much. Sending you love 😘💖😘💖 3y
OSChamberlain Chronic illnesses are sucky. I'm a type 1 diabetic. But reading does help me a lot, too! 3y
Smrloomis So glad reading is helping you. Sending good thoughts! 😀👏🏽 3y

Lizpixie Welcome to the chronic illness reading club🙋🏼 The membership rules quite frankly suck, but it's good to know you're not alone. I too have a few chronic illnesses that cause me a lot of pain and related depression, which means I rarely leave the house anymore. Reading and the Internet (especially Litsy) are the only things keeping me sane, I'm sure there are a lot of us in the same boat on here. There are people who understand completely here.🙂 3y
BookishFeminist ❤️❤️ hugs! You're not alone. While this isn't a chronic physical illness I have PTSD and have been on a hiatus from working an office job in order to recuperate. It's not fun & often makes me feel left out but reading has been a lifesaver. It's such a powerful tool to overcome lots of different kinds of pain & I'm glad you're finding it therapeutic despite being stuck with a shitty chronic illness that makes you stay home more than you want. 😘 3y
mauveandrosysky @Lizpixie the membership rules really are THE WORST! 😂 So glad you have a sense of humor about it though. That's another thing that has been key in keeping me sane. ❤️ Glad we're in this together...well, as glad as I can be. 3y
mauveandrosysky @Smrloomis thank you so much! 3y
mauveandrosysky @Ambrosnazzy @OSChamberlain @BookishFeminist it's SO comforting knowing that there are other people who understand, as it's something I don't really talk about much in my non-Internet life. Hugs to all of you. 💜 3y
Lizpixie 😘❤️❤️❤️😘 3y
BookishFeminist @mauveandrosysky It's very comforting, I agree. So grateful Litsy is an inclusive & welcoming community where we can share our love of reading as well as jokes, pain, and life events. I don't like to talk about my illness much either but sometimes it's cathartic. If you ever want/need to talk, I'm an open door. Just track me down on here! ❤️ 3y
CherylDeFranceschi Fortitude! Sending hugs, so glad you have books. They have always been my solace, too! 3y
mauveandrosysky @BookishFeminist thank you so much - and same goes for you! Always here to talk. 💛 We really are fortunate to have this great community. 3y

Megabooks I'm so sorry you're dealing with that. Incredibly difficult!! I, too, am affected by chronic illness/injury. Usually, I am able to work, but the past 13 months have been difficult. Reading IS absolute salvation. Big hug ❤️ 3y

mauveandrosysky @Ebooksandcooks that's such a great blog post. Thank you for sharing. 💙 It's always comforting to read about other people's experiences with chronic illness/injury and how they have coped with it. I hope to get to a point where I'm more comfortable talking about mine in a public sphere (like on my blog). Hugs to you! 3y
