pickThis is a great debut cozy. Deserves more hype. I will definitely be reading book 2 when it comes out in a few weeks. I did think there was an over use of the word “guy.” And there were numerous red herrings. But I want to see all the characters again. Be sure to have your favorite ice cream while reading it, boy will you get a craving!
pickThe author has crafted a very intriguing mystery. I had a grand time following along with Riley as she split her time making ice cream and trying to put a killer on ice.

pickThanks to Minotaur Books for the #ARC of this 1st book in a new cozy series. Riley is a librarian for the CIA on occasional assignment when the last one doesn‘t end well. She‘s back in her hometown of Penniman, Connecticut after her best friend Caroline‘s mom, Buzzy dies & when her friend‘s brother is killed after the funeral, she can‘t help getting involved. I like Riley & the book has her dad‘s bookshop, cats, Buzzy‘s ice cream shop & recipes⬇️
pickThis new series throws so much in that you don‘t think it would work, but it does. Let me condense my review to this; fun, fun, fun! She actually solves the mystery but looking into things and following clues, not doing stupid stuff to endanger herself. Nice cast of characters surrounding her, a little bit of strife in her life with her reflect stepmother, cute animals, and ice cream. Who doesn‘t love ice cream? Can‘t wait for book 2!
