Just as good as I remember!! My favorites were "Somebody Fell From Aloft", "The Man in the Middle" which always scared the bejesus out of me, and "The Church" for a little giggle. I blame these books for turning me into a horror addict and totally plan on looking up the resources in the bibliography now. ?☠

eri.reads Love these! Me and the fam went to watch the movie when it was released and I 💜 it! 30m
IamIamIam @eri.reads That's so good to hear! I'm always concerned when great books are made into movies! 10m

Hammock reading after work, the perfect way to wind down. Reading this classic for my Gothic Book Club. So far it's very, very strange lol

I‘ve been slowly picking up the volumes of this complete #williamhopehodgson set. If #Lovecraft was the “father” of #cosmichorror then Hodgson was the grandfather of cosmic horror. Anyone into classic horror or seafaring horror should look into his work.

1. I‘m normally not big on milk chocolate BUT I do like fun size candy bars like Snickers, Twix and Butterfinger.
2. Oh man, both!
3. Shot glasses from travels and Funko Pops.
4. Sanderson sisters, Hermione, Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas. I‘m big into ghost stories too. Oh and scariest monster villains ever are the Skeksis from Dark Crystal and The Gentlemen from Buffy.

bullbunny What kind of funko pops you got? 7d
KatieDid927 @bullbunny Lotsa Disney ones, a few Harry Potter, Buffy and Rick & Morty plus some randos like Dorothy from Golden Girls, Dean from Supernatural, etc. I have a villains shelf that I love. Some I've been wanting for it are the B&W Norman Bates variant, the new Madame Leota from Haunted Mansion, Ursula and Yzma. I've had my eye on the Rupert Giles pop too. I also don't have any Hocus Pocus or Nightmare Before Xmas ones yet! 7d

Classic horror. When reading Susan Hill you can count on good stories. Nice summer read. 😊👻

Rose Marshall is hitchhiking across the country, acting as a guide to those who die on the road, all while trying to keep ahead of the man who killed her.

Y'all I love ghost stories so much!

I loved how it felt like an exploration of how a story shifts and changes as it's told, while also building this amazing other world.

It felt a little disjointed at times, like tumblr posts collected together. But I will be picking up the sequel! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

Clare-Dragonfly Oooh. I didn‘t really like the one Seanan McGuire book I read (first in the Toby Daye series) but this sounds so good… 1w
TheAromaofBooks I love your “like tumblr posts collected together“ - I feel THAT writing vibe! 7d
LibrarianRyan I much prefer the paper back cover to this one. It's nice, butttt 7d

This is billed as a “classic English ghost story” and I could not agree more. The pace is slow and languid, the atmosphere claustrophobic, tense and the story builds into a jaw clenching “get the heck outta there” moment. Not a thriller, but definitely a nice creepy read 3/5

TheReadingMermaid Great review 👌 3w
