Just a reminder that the Trapped On An Island challenge starts July 1st. I hope some of you plan on joining. Don't forget to post a link to your Goodreads shelf.
I have 261 books on my shelf... I wonder which ones will make it to the island. 🤔

So I'm thinking of a new challenge. Lately I've noticed I've been reading a lot of newer releases and have been neglectful of some of the TBR books that have been on my list for years. I never seem to pick these books myself, so why not have someone else pick them for me? So here's how I'm thinking the challenge would work.
- Those who would want to participate will create a shelf on their Goodreads called "trapped on an island". ⬇️
I don‘t think it had ever occurred to me before picking up this book how many villains are “ugly” or “disfigured” making those things seem to be “bad” or “evil”. Or the many other ways that disabilities are portrayed negatively in stories. I found this book to be very thought provoking and appreciated the author sharing her story alongside so many familiar tales. #readharder2022

I'd like a sequel to Scorpio Races

Forgot that I hadn‘t posted about this audiobook. Downloaded it after seeing it at the bookstore & listened before my vacation. Very informative if you‘re interested in how DisneyLand was started. It was interesting to see the differences and similarities between the park of 1955 and now. There was one long chapter that basically transcribed the opening tv broadcast that I didn‘t think was necessary.
I read the second edition of this book which was written in 2009. So sadly some of the hidden Mickeys in this book no longer exist in Disneyland and California Adventure. But it was nice to read something that held a lot of nostalgia for me.
I enjoyed this book a lot especially since it was read by Sofia Carson who played Evie in the Descendants movies. I was pleasantly surprised that there was prequel to the very first movie, but I loved listening to how these four have become friends.
Great kids cookbook based upon the various Disney princesses!
