Saturday morning reading in bed to finish this. Please note the death tower in the background - all unread, not causing me any stress. I wanted to love this book and there are parts that I did, the magic, the sisterhood but the miscommunication went on too long and then wrapped up too fast and the bad guys weren‘t as awful as presented and all I know is it took way too long to finish it when I should have inhaled it 🤷🏻‍♀️maybe it‘s me

Ruthiella Love the death tower! 📚❤️ now

Sarah said she wrote the book with love and as a gift and it really really shows. I loved this so much I‘ve stayed up until 4 hours before I have to get up just to finish it. Soft and lovely and wonderful. Even if Kiela did make me feel possibly a little Too Seen.

I‘m a little over half way on this book. It‘s okay, not great. I‘m enjoying reading something with crochet involved, it seems like everything is about knitting. I think I know who did it, will find out soon. #crochetersonlitsy #hookersoflitsy #crochet

4/5

Fern's life is in a rut, so she moves to Thune to relocate her bookshop next to her long-time friend, Viv. But when that fails to change how Fern feels, she ends up in the back of a legendary adventurer's wagon and ends up on a journey of her own.

I enjoyed the addition to the lore of this world, particularly the section about the penitents. The ending wasn't what I expected, but I hope that it can continue to be expand on.

I was really charmed by this book. It‘s a cozy mystery set in a Halloween-themed town (the bakery is The Walking Bread) during a literary festival run by the protagonist, who runs the town bookstore. The store is used to good effect and there‘s a very cute, believable doggie character. The downside is the copy editing is horrible, which I don‘t hold against the author. It‘s the start of a series and I look forward to book 2.

I was really looking forward to this, but it's suffocatingly heavy on the astrology. Which is a shame because the premise and the cats were delightful!
