I couldn‘t put this down. Maura owns a town pub called Sullivan‘s. In the middle of a blizzard several people are stuck @ the pub til the storm stops. One of them is the woman suspected in a murder years ago and she insists on her innocence. So the group decide to go over the details since they have nothing else to do for the night.
For some reason, this book took me longer to finish than her first book; maybe because it was my night time book. I decided to finish it up on my #audiowalk and ended up enjoying it. For me, the author really stuck the ending. It was perfect for the characters. Roo Roo, the undead rooster, is my favorite character. Murder and Mamon is my new night time book. I haven‘t picked a new one for my walks yet.
Overall, I'm calling this a pick, but kind of a soft pick.
This one is definitely what I would call a light read, with a bit of a YA feel, but a little more spice. It's a fun romp, laced with both humor and sadness, as we see our “heroes“ struggling with the aftermath of their prior adventure.
Such a cute cozy and I loved it being set in a year-round Christmas town! I never would have guessed the murderer… I plan on reading more of this series for sure!!
August started off normally but around mid-month I fell into a deep slump. I couldn't seem to get through any book I started and it was so frustrating! I'm not sure I'm out of it yet but seem to be having a bit more luck with my current books. 🤞🏻 Since books weren't working for me, I switched to fanfiction and read quite a few really good explorations of some of my favorite characters. 🤗 #yayforfanfic
