I finished the tagged book this morning between feeding the cat who woke me at 5:45 and leaving for exercise class. It‘s a little OTT but fun, and I think we‘ll have a good discussion at book club.

I‘d planned to return it to the library on the way home BUT I managed to spill water on the crotch of my pants and was too embarrassed to get out of my car.

Hilary Huber does a great job narrating this series. In 'The Diva Paints the Town', Sophie is asked to renovate a room in Mordecia's, her neighbor, house after his death. She soon has found a body, and before she can find out more, the body disappears. As she works on the renovation, another person is found dead and one mugged. Will Sophie and her crew find out what is happening before it's too late?

Amanda Flower is a prolific writer! I lost count of how many series she‘s had going. Last night she won the Agatha Award for historical mystery, so this morning at breakfast I started reading this, which is a book club selection for May. I also need to read the Kate Quinn book I started, but I got sucked into this one instead! #hyggehourreadathon

I‘m home, happy, and sunburnt after a very successful field hockey tournament for my daughter. Looking forward to some mint tea and this cozy for #hyggehour

I have so much more to do, but this hour of peace is more important.

Having brunch at a Ukrainian bakery with my #readathon buddy before we get down to reading. I finally lost enough weight to wear my book leggings again! I was listening to the tagged book on my drive over.

My choice for the May #ThematicCozies theme of #Flowers/Plants is #6 in the Darling Dahlias series, by Susan Wittig Albert. I have read several others in this series and enjoyed them.

And my 34th consecutive Readathon kicks off with this second book about food detectives in Kyoto. I wish I could be happier about it, but my cold is still going strong AND it‘s spread to my eyes, which I didn‘t know could happen. I won‘t inflict the physical details on you, but it‘s basically my personal nightmare and it‘s left me depressed. Gonna try to distract myself with books today. #deweyapril #readathon

My plans for the day? I‘m going to Malice Domestic! Just the dinner this year because I missed the deadline, but I‘m still looking forward to it. The tagged author will be there, and my book club is reading this for May.
