Opening line: "Sleeping Beauty is pretty much the worst fairy tale, any way you slice it." Immediately pulled me in, and I devoured this novella in one sitting.

Once again I was going to “savior” a book and yeah I blew through it. Because that‘s what you do when you‘ve got no “shelf control!” This is the continuation of the first book but from Alyce‘s POV. So good. So very good. #darkfairytale #sleepingbeauty #lgbtq #mayread #springread
As I have come to expect from Mercedes Lackey, this book was a delight. However I am a bit confused as to whether or not this book is the first of the series… more research is needed….
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Loved this retelling of Sleeping Beauty. I don‘t want to give too much away but this story really gives the Sleeping Beauty character so much agency. I can‘t wait for the follow up story.
A fun reimagining of Sleeping Beauty. It includes some entertaining multiverse references that actually end up making sense. Thank you to Alix Harrow for giving me a chance to finally use the Disney knowledge stored in my brain.
May #bookspin is complete! @TheAromaofBooks
Thanks for tagging me in #Two4Tuesday @TheSpineView !!
1. It kind of depends on the vacation, but roughly “a pile“ 😂 I tend to use vacation as a time to reread some old favorites, which I find relaxing.
2. Yes, I mostly read physical books in general, and I honestly love the way books seem to soak up the vibes from vacations. The tagged book has been taken on probably a dozen vacations. But I do take my Kindle for back up!!
The next book from my book jar. All the better to see you with ended with an interesting twist. Shall see how this story unfolds. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend #fairytale #fairytaletwist #retelling #sleepingbeauty #princess #curse #rescue
It may be short, but this is perfect! I love feminist retellings of fairy tales and this is like a meta version of just that in spades! And to top it all off, it‘s funny! Loved this and can‘t wait for the sequel. 👑
This was fun, I liked it a little better than the Jasmine story, really enjoyed the discussion around Aurora's mental health and depression that ran through the story
