The narrator is fantastic! Very plot driven writing, but for my taste not subtle enough to suspend my disbelief and stay fully engaged. Revolves around salacious romantic relationship drama, the type that sets community tongues wagging, which again if more nuanced perhaps I‘d appreciate it more.

So-So rating because I didn‘t bail.

Yuki_Onna @Bookwormjillk That's how I'll play, too. I decided to do this to get books off my shelves on my Kobo read that have been sitting there for years.
That said, I really should have chosen some prompts more carefully, as I might not own a book set in North Carolina, for example... 😅 I just randomly chose prompts off my overflowing prompt list. We'll see how it goes... The plan is: read books already living in your household! 🌞 2y

Impressive that you watched this when it first aired - I was too young back then and my mother opposed to private TV channels (I live in Germany). Bklover I am having a very hard time with this. I‘m even using the Lit charts to explain chapters after I read them. People love this book. I feel inept. I can‘t tell if things are getting set up for future events or if these are events themselves. I can‘t imagine why anyone would tolerate being in a room with Fyodor. Alexei seems very naive. I can‘t keep Ivan and Dimitri straight in my mind. This Katerina person must have a lust for bad boys. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 2y

CatLass007 Who‘s Katalina? I just finished this chapter and I don‘t remember anyone named Katalina. I‘m so confuuused. I know I said I‘d finish the final two chapters of this section to see if something happens, but I‘m doubtful I can. I will wait until tomorrow and see how I feel. 2y
