I‘m starting my #24B4Monday from my couch in Texas instead of on a train from London to Wales for the #LitsyReadingRetreat. 😢

It‘s ok though. Tea and Blueberries for breakfast, a walk when the sun comes up, a Zoom meetup with retreaters this afternoon, and a G hangout bookclub meeting tonight. It‘s going to be a nice day.

I‘m hoping to settle back into calmer reading this week. I‘m done working for at least the next two weeks, as my boss suggested I go ahead and take the vacation time I was supposed to be in UK for #LitsyReadingRetreat.

Current reads are bookclub, leant to me by @Eyelit , and audio gift from @Hooked_on_books .

No plan at all for what‘s up next, but I‘ll probably try to keep it light. 🤷

I finished three books I‘d had in progress early this week, got in another audiobook and novella, and started a new audio chunkster, fantasy/scifi, and research for my upcoming trip. 😊 overall a great week!

Cinfhen OMG!!! That‘s SO MUCH FUN!!!!! I‘m sure @Mitch knows the BEST places! But just in case the V&A Museum had some amazing exhibits, Farm Girl Cafe in Notting Hill was DELICIOUS and SOOOOO charming and we had a lovely, luxurious high tea at The Beaumont 💕💕💕Of course there‘s a zillion awesome book stores and the theatre. Soooooo excited for you 4y

Night Vision: Magical Photographs of Life After Dark | National Geographic

I was able to make a quick trip today to Book People and got a little haul. I‘m still using my holiday gift card. 😊📚. The bottom two are very slightly damaged, and so were 1/2 off. The top two are what I went in looking for.

Hooked_on_books Sounds amazing. I really liked Stonehenge. I‘m not a religious person, but it felt like a special place to me. But I‘ve heard other folks saying to skip it, so I don‘t know which way you‘ll fall. There‘s so much to do in London (the Tower is really interesting and there‘s lots of famous literary folks buried at Westminster). Plus the British Museum is incredible. It‘s been years since I was there. 4y

JeffyRoo If you can, stop off in Avebury on your way back from Wales. The stones there are much more accessible and the circle much larger. 4y

#goteam ! Back from Spain, walked a lot, finished my first audio. Proud of all my guys on Team Go Team (best name ever). I relaxed one of my goals today and took an escalator, 3 flights of steps on no sleep just wasn‘t my vibe today.

It‘s all good, individual days don‘t matter it‘s all about slow change and working slowly. We‘re in this together.

Megabooks 1. Walk without major pain in my feet, if I‘m being real. My feet hurt constantly. 2. I‘m going to post a collage of my recent and historical favorite NF audiobooks and tag you! 3. I want a whole library room with bookshelves on the walls and a nice recliner in the middle. A couple of south-facing windows wouldn‘t hurt either! Also, I want to meet Rainbow Rowell, Roxane Gay, and Lindy West. 😊🥰 5y

A young woman (of almost 40) finds herself drinking with her high-school Japanese teacher. And so begins... something. A friendship? A relationship? More?

It‘s all the little details -railway teapots, changing lightbulbs, cherry blossom and mushrooms, plus the conversations and non-conversations, that make this such a charming book. Loved it!

LibrarianRyan 😁I at least once a year attend a meet up in St. Louis. It's 1.5 hours away for me, but I like going to STL so it's a treat. Sometimes I host, sometimes others host. I have also done at meet up at Book Expo in New York, which was all @MrBook 's fault. 😁

I want to try and plan at Central Illinois meet up this summer, and I am always game if the Chi Town people want to host. I'll take the train (Though I admit, I hate Chicago). 5y
