Frankenstein | Mary Shelly

Sparklemn I really hope the creature has followed him and Henry to England and left the family in peace. However, I fear their journey may not end well. (edited) 24h
Clare-Dragonfly I don‘t think this is going to go well for Henry… 22h

Sparklemn I love love love the creature‘s innocence at the beginning of his story. Just trying to make his way in the world. 🙂 (edited) 1w
Bookwormjillk He didn‘t know the language when he was first in the stone hut and now he speaks better than me on my best day. 1w
ElizaMarie @Bookwormjillk I feel so bad for him. Also so in awe of his ability to adapt and how eloquent he is. 1w

dabbe I think “moist“ was used in different forms more than once! 🤣 I love the setup to a long flashback of what happens at Dorlcote Mill on the Floss River. No dental floss here whatsoever! 🤩 7mo
Sparklemn “There is a remnant still of last year‘s golden clusters of beehive-ricks rising at intervals beyond the hedgerows…” Such beautiful writing! 7mo

bibliobliss
Every Grain of Sand | David P. Wichman, Heather Ebert

“My life had taken off. I wasn‘t making anywhere close to ten thousand dollars a month, but I had more equity in living than I‘d had in decades on the street. Just as Jeff Stevenson had taught me all those years earlier, I saw how I could truly manifest and create my own life...

bibliobliss ...Immersed in a raw form of gratitude, I couldn‘t help thinking, Oh my God, I survived! I‘m clean and sober. I‘m not digging into a trash can or sticking a needle into my arm. Every day, a laundry list of joys flooded my mind.“

I loved this book way more than I expected. The world building surrounding this story is so unique and beautiful. I especially loved how we discovered it alongside the main character. With a lot of YA novels I can usually guess what's going to happen but there were so many twists and beautiful turns.

I recently bought these three together, and love the contrast between the title fonts. They‘ve been sitting on my shelf in a stack because I love looking at the spines all lined up! #beautifulwriting #readingresolutions
