Super steamy Peter Pan retelling. I really enjoyed this one. It was a lot of fun to read and definitely lots of interesting additions to the classic story. If you like dark romance and fairy tales, this one is for you!

Hook, aka James, is trying to take down Peter‘s empire. Peter‘s daughter, Wendy, enters Hook‘s bar. That‘s when he plans to seduce her & get to Peter. The more time they spend together, his feelings start to affect his plans. Will Wendy find out about his scheme?
This one was ok. It was a bit overhyped. I liked the plot, but the writing could‘ve been a bit better. I wanted a little more romance & spice.
I loved it!
EM has taken one of the most beloved stories of all time (Peter Pan) and given it a dark, modern, twisted retelling.
After watching the Once Upon a Time series a few years and falling in love with that version of "Hook", I almost put a hole in my kindle in my haste to download "Hooked" when I saw it was on Kindle Unlimited!
Safe to say, Hook can kidnap me any day ?
I will never, ever be able to watch Peter Pan in the same way again.
Characters weren't really fleshed out, they felt flat. That was the reason why I didn't feel all the emotions. There were scenes that should have made me feel more than what they did. I also don't like insta-love and that was the case here. Characters' bigger-than-life emotions at the end were unrelatable because there hadn't been a prober building up.
This was easy to read but a bit tasteless.

This one is going to be so fun! #darkromanceswap
This is a super cool tale involving themes of Peter Pan. There are many twists and turns that the story takes you on it makes the book go by very fast. It was a truly enjoyable story with lovable characters.
Wendy, darling
Ah!

First book of February wrapped up today and I really enjoyed this one! A play on Peter Pan and reminds me of Once Upon A Time but darker & better! Highly recommend 🖤 #LitsyLoveReads
Thank you @CymbaX13 for this amazing #HHS box!
Was definitely worth the agonising wait between its arrival and opening day 🤭
I especially love the witchy tote bag!
Thanks @wanderinglynn for hosting 🎃

Very seldom do I DNF a book. This one is an exception. Almost 4 hours into the book. And I‘m out. Took much 50 shades too little plot. I don‘t mind spicy books. But I need the spice to take a backseat to the plot. It had a good premise: twist on Peter Pan (hook‘s son trying to kill peter‘s daughter. But they end up falling in love.). What killed it: the C you Next Tuesday word.
This was okay. Didn‘t live up to the hype, the characters were either flat or terrible, not much to appreciate. But, my curiosity is quelled. @TheAromaofBooks #BookspinBingo
Omg!!! Why did I waited so long to start this series! So many twist and turns. But I suspected the villan at the end was that dude. Uff such a good book!
5/5⭐️
5 ⭐️!!!! Absolutely loved this book! Finished it in 2 days! Could have finished it in 1, but apparently it‘s frowned upon to neglect work to read 😆. If you haven‘t read this I would highly recommend it! I can‘t wait to read the other books in this series!!
#hooked #emilymcintire #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #ilovebooks #books #booksofinstagram I don‘t really know how I feel about this book it was OK I guess! Im not into controlling bad boys! I felt the hype for this book was a bit of a let down
Captain James Hook is one smokin‘ hot mofo! I admit it…I was that kid who had a crush on Disney‘s Captain Hook and agreed with him that Peter Pan was an utter scoundrel. Yes, I have come to terms with this part of myself, and this book only made my Hook crush all the more exciting! It‘s a smutty crime novel, so don‘t confuse this Capt Hook with the Capt Hook of your childhood. A fun, fast read! Read the whole book in one day.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 I enjoyed how unique this story was, especially the little twists to it.
Love it when a book starts with a playlist 🤩
I expected to DNF this, but after @BethM review, I had to try. I‘m a sucker for Peter Pan versions where Pan is a villain and Hook is sympathetic. The author insists this is not a retelling or a HEA fairytale. Whatever you call it, it‘s steamy & fun. Hook is a villain that remains a criminal to the end & Wendy‘s a bit of a freak. I don‘t know what it says about me, but I didn‘t consider it particularly dark. 😳🤷🏻♀️
This is a total #BlameitonLitsy pick. This is definitely not for everyone as it is a very naughty take on Peter Pan focusing on Captain Hook. But I do love a dark, twisty take on a fairy tale or classic, and I really like stories that don‘t take an all evil/all good stance. I like exploring the good sides of villains (I loved Maleficent) so this was quite satisfying. I look forward to others in the series. Finished reading Hooked at Hooked 🪝🏴☠️
Oh SNAP! This caught me completely off guard. Now 2023 will go down as the year I got hooked on erotic Greek mythology romance AND steamy, dark twists on "fairy tales" - but featuring the VILLIAN! I was HOOKED (pun intended ?) and I'll never think of Captain Hook or Wendy the same ?
"The greatest thing I've done in my life was to love you, Wendy darling"
I found this to be a fluffy read. Very insta love.
But I just love it when a villain falls in love.
'No, darling. I'll hand you the match and stand at your back, watching you become a Queen of the Ashes'
I love reading the moments when you see what they would do for the one person they love.
James is smooth AF for someone who, in theory, is emotionally stunted.
This book is so easy and fun to read.
This quote hits me right in the feels every time. 🖤

I need therapy after reading this book. Deranged and Unhinged in all the best ways.
My next Peter Pan retelling and this time with a bookmark my son made. Happy reading everyone #peterpan #retelling #captainhook #pirate #neverland
Well first off I wasn‘t expecting the plot twist towards the end of the book. However I‘m happy it happened because..... well I don‘t so spoilers so I‘m not gonna say much beyond that I‘m happy the plot twist was there. I don‘t wanna give anything away! I can‘t wait to read the others in the series. This book made me wanna go watch OUAT and Peter Pan again! It‘s definitely a very different take on the story that we all know and love!!

Peter Pan & Capt Hook re-imagined
This is a low pick for me. Was it enjoyable and a quick read? Yes. Was the plot a bit "meh" the characters kind of bland and a bit too insta-lovey for my taste? Also yes.
I went in blind after seeing it all over TikTok but maybe I should have read the blurb. I would have enjoyed a fantasy romance more. Super rich crime boss doesn't really do it for me ?♀️ The nods to Peter Pan throughout were fun though!
i already loved the hook and wendy idea, so i decided to give it a shot. and boy, was i happy. the romance was a little rushed, but not too much, enough to fit it throughout the novel. it's dual pov, so you got to see both mcs fall in love, and the end made me cry so hard. i love cheesy happy endings, and this totally gave it to me. also the way hook treats wendy makes my heart light up. it's adorable, but it's also a dark romance. beautiful book.
