Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone. I‘ve had so much fun joining in the reading this year with you all! Not so much Xmas celebrations here since we are renovating our house, but it‘s always a wonderful time of year. Hug your loved ones and i hope Santa brings you everything you wanted!
4✨This was really well thought out. It went back and forth for all the characters being the creepy crazy one. I had a feeling I knew, but still was struggling with being sure. When you just want to get home to your family for Christmas and all planes are grounded. Five strangers rent a car to get themselves home, but not everyone is who they appear. #WinterGames2021 #TeamGameSleigher @StayCurious
Pretty predictable and a bit monotonous but this one was still hard to put down. I'd read more from the author

This thanksgiving weekend perfect for reading, eating, and not moving much. I love the scenes in the snow storm. The story is ok. There are some parts that don‘t make sense, but I kept going til the end to find out who dunnit. Abrupt ending!🥶
I didn't love this book, which is probably partly because I don't love thrillers. I listened to this because it was a Hoopla Bonus Borrow. It follows 5 strangers who think it's a good idea to brave a bad blizzard to drive home in a rental car so they can make it home by christmas. Some recations and assumptions felt weird, especially for strangers, and the characters felt kind of cookie cutter to me. Content warnings for stalking and drug use.
Book 137
I read Five Total Strangers because it was the Big Library Read. Five strangers that meet at the airport, rent a car to get home for Christmas. The road conditions are terrible and things start disappearing. The characters aren't compelling. The story could have been more suspenseful; I almost DNF. The bad guy was a surprise but the book isn't recommendable. 2.5 stars
I read this book as part of the “Big Library Read”. I found it entertaining. The group was in a situation that I hope to never find myself in. I can‘t say that I agreed with all of the decisions that the protagonist made. The end was a bit predictable. I‘m not sure why the library chose this book for their campaign, however ; I‘m glad that I read it.
When I DNF'd my other #AudioCommute book I had to replace it with something. This was part of the #BigLibraryRead so it was super easily available. It was a quick little mystery. I really enjoyed it!
High school senior Mira is trying to get home for Christmas, but a blizzard closes down the airport. Her seat mate on her prior flight and a group of friends are renting a car, so Mira decides to go with them. Only, turns out they don‘t know each other at all. Then things get scary. There‘s some great tension building here, and well-written vehicular scares, but it hinges on a premise I didn‘t buy and the red herrings are poorly done.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Such a fast and creepy read! I'll be looking over my shoulder for the next month 👀
This book is available as the Big Library Read until Nov. 15 on Libby!
Grabbed this #audiobook on #Libby for the #biglibraryread. Definitely kept me interested the whole time. A+ for the creepy atmosphere, and the psychological aspect, but after awhile the whole thing seemed to get pretty unbelievable, and I feel like there were some BIG things that weren‘t really explained in the end. 3.5 ⭐️ rounded up
I finished this today while in the car for 10 hours.
This book gave me No Exit vibes. Minus the intensity of No Exit. 3⭐
This is the current #BigLibraryRead which runs November 1 - 15. I just found out about it today. Not sure if I can squeeze in this holiday YA thriller or not. Unlimited copies on Libby if you want to join in.

Apparently, the big library read is back with this book!
Book 119🎧
Ooowee! A thrilling ride indeed❄️🚘
Psychological thriller, 5 strangers stuck in a rental car on their way home for Christmas, through a snow storm no doubt! Except one of them is lying..🤫 Can you trust anyone?
I enjoyed it! Even though I saw parts coming, still a great listen for thriller lovers!
Maybe not during a road trip though…🤔
I didn't mind this book at the beginning, I was enjoying it. But it wasn't really thrilling at all. And the ending was so anticlimactic, and it just ends. No explanation of why anything happened or what happened to the others. Nothing. Just done. And for all that build up for that ending? Soooo disappointed. 1.5/5 stars.
Mira is desperate to get home to her mother for Christmas. When her flight is canceled she accepts a ride with a group of college students. Before long the roads are dangerous and icy, people‘s personal belongings are disappearing and things get dangerous fast. Little does Mira know someone in the car is deliberately sabotaging the trip.
I thought I lost this book and found it under another pile of books. I liked it but the ending was a little anti-climactic for me. I think there should‘ve been a better explanation about what happened to the others afterwards. It just kind of ended without any closure for me. :)
@magyklyXdelish I‘m mailing your book back to you along with 2 others. Hope you enjoy them and if you have read them then you can pass them on.

Received this package from Lauren Metz today. @Jadams1776 sent Sweet Heart to Lauren a month ago and I mailed her the other 3 books a month ago. I sent a note with Home Before Dark as I was giving her that book. It doesn‘t look like she read any of these books. There was no markings or messages in the package from her. Has she quit Litsy for some reason? Does anyone know?

@laurenashley Mailing both the tagged book and Bad Girls Don‘t Cry. Read these early this month so I can send them off to you.

Mira needs to get home for the holidays. A blizzard causes her connecting flight to be canceled. Harper, her seatmate, rents a car and offers to drop Mira off on their way home. Mira realizes as she gets in the car that fellow travelers are all total strangers. And every one of them is hiding something. Roads go from slippery to terrifying. People's belongings are mysteriously disappearing.

I received these books, postcards, and bookmarks in the mail yesterday from @magyklyXdelish Looking forward to reading these!
I thought this was pretty good, but good grief, the bad decisions 🤦🏼♀️. Overall I enjoyed this #LMPBC GroupH pick! It‘s on its way to you @laurenashley !!
I wish I liked this one more as this now makes 2 of my #LMPBC picks meh for me. I think in the end my problem is that I‘m not in the demographic for this book. All the bad decisions left me shaking my head far too much to truly enjoy it. What saves this were the moments of suspense which were really good, like edge of your seat good. I just wish that was consistent instead of scattered.
#BookSpinBingo
I was looking for a fun, fast, and easy read and Five Total Strangers fit the bill. There were several inconsistencies and some major coincidences that drew me out of the story and I wanted to shake Mira for some of the decisions she made, but overall, it was the palate cleanser that I was looking for. If you enjoyed No Exit by Taylor Adams and want to read a similar YA novel, this one is for you. 3⭐️
This reminded me a bit of No Exit. It is a YA suspense. A girl trying to get home for Christmas takes a ride with strangers all trying to do the same. And things go very wrong. It is definitely written with the YA audience in mind, but I kept turning the pages to see what would happen next.
This felt like one bad decision after another...making each one feel less believable as the story progressed. But it still might work for someone on the young side of YA. I feel like I‘m not the target audience...despite all the characters being over the age of 18 because this plays out in a way that feels overly juvenile. The snowstorm ride through the Mountains was pretty intense, though.
Moral of the story: listen to your Mother!
Sooooo good!! I could not go to bed until I finished this one!! So many twists and turns like snowy mountain road 🥶 I highly recommend if you love a good, tense thriller ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
I'll admit it up front: I'm not particularly a thriller person, so idk if I was ever going to be in love with this book. It was still solidly written, though! I never fully guessed who the stalker was until everything came to light, and I was invested enough to finish. The yellow hat man felt a little too convenient, though. #yalit #thrillers
This book is going to send you on a wild ride. Here is a link to my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3461405754?book_show_action=false&from_rev....
And this is great read for one of those dark snowy nights.

Starting my first team #firereadsmidnight book from @Sourcebooks
Loves this thriller, it kept the tension high and kept me guessing too! The ending did let me down a little.
Thank you so much for the most generous gifts, I'm so excited for every single book and treat. I‘ve been dying to try this coffee and now I can, but It's like we were on the same wavelength. @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm #cc #CreepyChristmas
#bookmail. I was invited to join the @Sourcebooks #firereadsmidnight team. This is my first set of reads. Thank you @Sourcebooks for this opportunity.
I am looking forward to all of these.
Desperate to get home on Christmas Eve, Mira accepts a ride in rental car to create the titular five strangers. In a genuinely thrilling and fast-paced read, this one will have the reader suspecting everyone in this fishbowl of a car! Chilling and visually appealing too, I could hardly put it down! It‘s my first experience with this author, but I know it won‘t be my last!! #NetGalley
I read One Was Lost by this author last year & really liked it, so I was excited for this one! This book drew me in & kept my attention. Fast paced & suspenseful, every time I thought I knew what direction this twisty thriller was going to go it shifted gears & surprised me! Craftily plotted & with plenty of red herrings, the author keeps you guessing until the end. So get in the car & prepare yourself for a ride full of nail biting tension!
