Sexy...sweet...romantic...with a bold female character. Yes, yes, yes!!!
Week one in Bermuda is over- my friends have gone home and I've moved to the first place I'm staying with the hubby, Pompano Beach Club. It's lovely so far - I've enjoyed lunch and reading poolside while waiting for his flight to get in. The Wedding Date has hooked me in already - Alexa and Drew are great main characters and Guillory is so dang funny! Definitely will be looking for more from her. #romantsy
Really cute and enjoyable story. I loved the meet cute and the entire scenario aside from Alexa‘s insane amount of insecurities, which annoyed me to no end. Too relatable maybe?
I actually only picked this one because I needed an audiobook for a challenge and it was free, but I really did enjoy the story. It cemented for me the fact that audiobooks are not for me however. This was an 8.5 hour listen but I could have read it in an hour or so.
This is not really my genre but a quiz on BookRiot told me it should be my next romance read so I gave it a shot. I did have some issues with it, and I certainly realized why I usually don't read this kind of stuff, but I needed something light and fun and romantic with a happy ending and that was what I got. #romance 📓📚💕
This was the first romance I‘ve read... probably EVER! I had heard good things about this one, so I gave it a try! Sometimes the dialogue felt stilted, but overall I really liked it! It was a fun romance, but there were some deeper elements as it featured an interracial couple. I listened to it on audiobook on a road trip, and it was perfect easy listening for the drive!
When I read the back cover of this book I was certain the plot line has been over-done, in books & movies- pretend girlfriend/boyfriend turns into true love etc so I was pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed Alexa's character. Not afraid to enjoy food, have curves, be sexy & sassy. I liked that the romance wasn't the only storyline, Drew & Alexa's characters are well rounded and successful, in their own professional lives and past relationships. 4☆
This is such a wonderful romance novel! I liked it even more than The Proposal. The characters were wonderful, and I liked that the tension really came from the fears and insecurities that come with dating. It's a super sweet romance, and I can't wait to read The Wedding Party in a few months!
Couldn‘t sleep. Downloaded this book. Started reading. It‘s now 3am. I have three schools bringing field trips to my work tomorrow (Today) at 8am plus two important meetings after the kids leave. I have no interest in stopping reading this.
Also my husband is in bed next to me and he‘s a MILLION DEGREES! Maybe I could sleep if he wasn‘t sweating me out.
I read The Proposal first. Obviously I liked it enough to check out this one. So far, it is even more charming than The Proposal. I love that the main character is larger, and a professional who is completely good at her job, that she has insecurities, but isn‘t a hot mess in any way.
Just finished this book bringing my total for 2019 up to 19 books so far! I‘m pretty proud of myself for already having read 19! This book was good! The same idea as her other book The Proposal but I liked this one more. I liked the characters much better- especially preferred Alexa to Nik (from The Proposal). I‘m really excited to read her next book due out in July and have it pre-ordered. I love how her characters are linked in each book!
I needed something fluffy, it was fluffy but I think I'm burning out on books I can't relate to. I'd probably have liked it more if I wasn't generally angry at characters who can afford to buy nice dresses, jump on planes and eat out every meal. I stress $12 Walmart sneakers and the $8 Uber to work. If I'm that broke I should cancel BoTM. I know that, quiet you!
Anyway this book made me want doughnuts more than sexy time. 😉
Another easy read that I‘m already sucked into! I don‘t get why people give this author so much crap. Yeah, maybe her writing isn‘t for everyone but I honestly think she writes easy, fun to read books. I like how all her different books connect characters. Anyway- enjoying this one tonight!
I made it to the end of chapter 3, where Alexa Monroe decides to wear a red dress that makes her look “hot,” with gold heels to a wedding rehearsal, before I finally decided to bail. Light and breezy writing, but I really don‘t have the luxury of time to read anything that doesn‘t really grab me from the start.
It's been a stressful few weeks. I picked up a second "job" volunteering for the local police association and haven't had a day off since February 21st.
I've been reading but neglecting my rambling reviews you have to expect from me ?But I'll be back.
So, since I don't see any days off in the near future and I'm so tired I'm going to be a little romance kick. They make me feel all cheesy and smile. Starting this now #currentlyreading
I feel the need to do a doughnut count in this book. Much as I love doughnuts and burgers and fries, I kind of wish they‘d eat something less artery-clogging for a change!
Cute, light romance with well-written characters. The author doesn‘t overlook details like navigating an interracial relationship or living in a body that doesn‘t fit the cookie cutter image of beauty while still keeping the tone easy.
I met Jasmine Guillory at my first book signing. She was amazing. She was funny and Inspiring. I love her even more now. I‘m going to meet
Pretty average romance. The heroine is a chief of staff to the Mayor, she‘s plus size, sassy and loves her sweets - I wish we were friends. The hero is a peds doctor. The wedding is the best part. They don‘t communicate well, aside from in bed, and they didn‘t do much talking so I‘m not sure what their love it based off of. It was quick and fun to read though. #readwomen #diversereads

I‘ve never read romance before but as it‘s Valentines next week I thought I‘d give it a go! This one follows Alexa and Drew when they meet in a stuck elevator, hit it off and agree to be dates at a wedding. It was a quick, enjoyable read. I wasn‘t crazy about it and didn‘t particularly care about what happened to the characters but it was still interesting and fun to read.
Can anyone recommend any really beautiful romance novels that they loved?
This was, by far, the most fun romance book I have read. The characters are great, the plot was fun, the writing was fantastic. Very entertaining. The only issue I have with the book was the amt of sex scenes written. I get it you can‘t stop thinking about each other‘s body parts and you love to have sex with each other!! Move the story along, please. Other than that it was a fun read.
Started this thinking it was going to be reminiscent of Nicholas Sparks and quickly realized I was getting myself into a romance! The couple was interracial and was so well done. The story was fun (and sexy), the characters were developed and smart. An easy read! (Note - never have I ever read a book where the characters are constantly eating so much food!). 4/5 stars!
