pickOne of Hannah‘s first novels and it‘s clear that she has a page turning writing style. Characters are mostly likeable, good plot, and I like how the story is told but, again, romance is a driving force for confidence and life affirmation for the characters. Good, not great.

panI adore Kristin Hannah and her books but this one was disappointing....it definitely has to do with my pedestal view of her work though!

This is the first book by Kristin Hannah that I read. I loved it so much I had to read more. She quickly became a favorite author of mine.

pickAnnie Colwater has been married to Blake for 20 years but as their daughter, Natalie, leaves home for a trip to London and then onto college, Blake confesses that he is in love with a younger woman. Annie decides to go home and visit her father. She meets up again with her first love, Nick Delacroix, a recent widower, and his young emotionally scarred daughter, Izzy. Together they begin to heal but soon her world is turned upside down again.
pickThis is a cute story that is well-written, but it‘s quite the cliché sob story, as well as predictable one. It was worth the read, but not one of her best books. Solid and good, but that‘s as far as it goes. 3+ stars

Kristin Hannah has turned out to be a must read author for me. I had read books by her previously and enjoyed them, but this one just hit differently. As a result, I read several of her books in 2021 and didn‘t want them to end.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue falls into the ‘Litsy made me do it‘ category and I‘m so glad it did.
I‘ve been away from Litsy far too long. I am currently reading this one in Cloud Library. I have Four Winds & Comfort & Joy by same author on hold. Four Winds will be a month or longer. Local library doesn‘t even have it!
pickSomewhat predictable, but passed the time fine when I was busy doing other stuff.
Three hours left in this book. I often end up really disliking some of Hannah‘s characters, especially teenage girls. So far, that hasn‘t happened, but there‘s still time. Another gorgeous day. That branch on the ground reminded me of Tiny Tim‘s crutch. #audiowalk
The sun came out today! It was absolutely beautiful, and I got to go walk. I‘m about half way through this book now. #audiowalk
This is my first time walking in about a week because I hurt my foot. Also, I haven‘t been to this park in about a year — since the pandemic started. It‘s close to me, but every time I went by it was too crowded for me to feel comfortable. I feel so much safer being vaccinated. Early Kristin Hannah for my walking book. I didn‘t walk far because I‘m still babying my foot, but still. #audiowalk

pickI‘m giving this a pick, but just barely. This books didn‘t drag like a couple of her other books I‘ve read recently did. Kept me reading. I also really liked Annie‘s relationship with both Izzy and Natalie. The main plot though is completely predictable and has been done lots of times, including by KH herself. 11/13 complete for #13books13weeks
I think this is 11/13 for #13books13weeks (with under 3 weeks left, by my calculations?). Just starting this, but it already seems better than the last two Kristin Hannah books I read.
Mommy needed a Me Day today. Visited 3 of my favorite bookshops, traded in a decent amount and, of course, came home with this stack. Mommy feels better now. 😊😊💜📚
