“Master storyteller Stephen King (writing as Richard Bachman) presents this gripping and remarkable New York Times bestselling crime novel about a damaged young man who embarks on an ill-advised kidnapping plot—a work as taut and riveting as anything he has ever written.”
The graphics are getting a little more cartoonish but the story is a lot better than the illustrations. In this volume, we read how the Trashcan man get to Vegas to meet Flagg, Mother Abigail disappears, the main characters form a ad hoc committee and we see Harold getting worse with his mind. Love the story and will continue with the graphic novel series.
Although a bit of a slog at times, Hearts in Suspension is a truly captivating collection of pieces recounting the experiences of several students at U of M during one of our nation's most turbulent periods. King's twin pieces are, of course, the standouts, but other memorable pieces by Harold Crosby, David Bright, Diane McPherson, Philip Thompson, Larry Moscowitz, and Jim Bishop manage to hold their own. 4/5
Charlie the Choo-Choo will not add anything new to fans' understanding of the Dark Tower cycle. It contains no juicy new bits of story and, in the way of text, absolutely nothing you'll already have read elsewhere. Having said that, the illustrations are a lovely realization of how they are depicted in the Dark Tower series, and it's a nice little piece of King ephemera to have. 4/5
As I started reading From a Buick 8 by Stephen King, I couldn‘t keep my mind from thinking about one of his earliest novels, Christine. These novels turn out to be quite different from one another. The Buick 8 is also a creepy and bizarre piece of machinery that only King can create.

I made this "doll" on field trip this week and thought it made the perfect addition to my Stephen King shelf ??
So happy I picked this back up to read again. This volume is basically the group walking towards finding Mother Abigail and the trials and tribulations they go through to get there. Graphics are amazing and of course the story is as well.
A short story included in the Skeleton Crew collection featuring a young boy who is left alone with his very old, unhealthy grandmother while his mother runs an errand. His fear of her dying while he is with her comes across so large. It was terrifying to me. Being privy to this child‘s innocent thoughts in relation to getting older and being a bit unhealthy-and hearing adults gossip but not understanding what gossip is-so fantastic. Classic King.
