My first adventure with cooking burdock took place while listening to the tagged book. The root was peeled, julienned, then sautéed with soy sauce, mirin & sugar. Served with toasted sesame seeds. Very tasty. Anyone have a favourite burdock recipe?
Made lemon curd today. 🍋
My neighbour is testing my resolve to not eat sweets Mon-Fri. She just dropped by to return my non-tupperware from when I made cinnamon rolls.
Must. Not. Open. It.
Also, it's cold outside. I want to make veggie stew and bake another batch of cinnamon rolls. 😵

The finished seafood stew, served with rice and sour cream as per the original cook‘s directions. It‘s DELICIOUS! The broth‘s wonderful, all the ingredients work well together, the rice adds a good tooth, and the sour cream tang is just perfect.
The only downside is, I didn‘t measure anything except the mushrooms so it‘ll probably never taste like this again. Oh well. I‘ve got at least two more meals in the pot & I WILL enjoy them. #audiocooking
I‘ve got a pot of seafood stew bubbling away on the stove. This recipe caught my eye while I was flipping through the vintage cookbook my friend gave me for my birthday, and I can‘t wait to try it! The broth‘s tasty; a good sign.
Tonight‘s #audiocooking efforts have left me with about 2.5 hours to go with THE HERO OF AGES. With any luck, I‘ll finish it tomorrow or Monday.
