Mehso-so

This one was extra jarring & felt like a totally different series. Just when I finally had gotten used to the 2nd narrator, this one has a different one. Everything felt off in this one. Sigh. 3⭐️

Pickpick

I‘m giving this a soft pick. While there are differences in the Agatha Raisin series since R.W. Green took over, they are subtle & don‘t bother me much. Not so in the Hamish Macbeth series. In this one & the next one especially it almost feels like a completely different series. I will still keep reading but it‘s not the same. 3.5⭐️

This is the 1st Hamish book without M.C. Beaton. The changes are subtle, at least imo, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this. Poor Hamish just cannot catch a break with his messy love life. Love this series. 4⭐️

thegirlwiththelibrarybag Oh no, he still hasn‘t got his love life sorted? I haven‘t read a Hamish book in forever. Not sure how I feel about the books being continued past them being given an ending. I read the first Agatha Raisin without MC and while it was fine - I haven‘t continued. 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @thegirlwiththelibrarybag Hamish has very bad luck in this one with his current lady. I love both Hamish and Agatha and while I can definitely tell a difference with the new author, I still think he captures the overall feel of everything pretty well. I just finished the new Agatha Raisin book and enjoyed it. 1mo
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @JenlovesJT47, as long as the enjoyment is still there, that‘s really all that matters. 1mo

This is bittersweet as it‘s the last Hamish book officially written by M.C. Beaton before her passing. But it was a really good one! The shenanigans with Hamish‘s wild cat are very entertaining & I‘m happy to say his beloved Sonsie is finally back. 🐈‍⬛ Loved this one. 5⭐️

February: Romance

I found this an enjoyable read overall. Of course, I loved the Scottish setting. I'm so glad Josie got what was coming to her in the end.

julieclair I hope to get to this series at some point. Glad you enjoyed it! 2mo

A personal nurse disappears from one of the local estates and it doesn‘t sit well with Hamish MacBeth. Shortly after he finds her body a couple other murders are committed. Hamish and Charles try to find the culprit even as they have other issues in their private lives.

Book 32 down in the Hamish Macbeth series. The next book is the last one written by M.C. Beaton before she passed. Will be bittersweet but I‘m glad they continued both this and the Agatha Raisin series after she passed. Love both series. 4⭐️

LoverOfLearning You are on a mission! So cool! I can't do series. Im an adhd mood reader. Too many stand alones I want to read. If I don't read the entire series back to back (likely on audio) I won't ever finish it. Lol 2mo
JenlovesJT47 @LoverOfLearning I understand! I love both these series and listen to them on audio. They‘re only 5-6 hours each so I‘ve been speeding through them the past couple of months. So fun. 2mo

Another solid entry in the Hamish Macbeth series. My favorite things about this series are Hamish‘s messy yet highly entertaining love life, and the quirky people who live in the village. 4⭐️

I have sped through these Hamish Macbeth audiobooks this past month and am almost caught up. The next one is the last one written by M.C. Beaton and it will be bittersweet. Love this series. 4⭐️
