@Butterfinger treated me today to the most amazing visit and lunch at the Daniel Boone Inn Restaurant. What a wonderful person you are Tammy! And your daughter (who took our photo) too! We had a great time. Clearly we‘ve already been friends a long time even if we hadn‘t met in person before. And this restaurant was so unique. A one of a kind and delicious experience. I‘ll treasure this #litsymeetup forever.
Hey, @TheLudicReader:
Canada, oh here I come!
Can't wait to meet you!
(a haiku just for you!) ♥️🇨🇦♥️
This Saturday is Pollyanna Glad Day!
Wouldn‘t it be fun to one year have a #LitsyMeetUp in Littleton, NH?!

Last night, I had the privilege of hearing @ChrisBohjalian speak about his new book at my local #indiebookstore, Quail Ridge Books. What made it even better was having my friends and fellow Littens @MallenNC and @Graciouswarriorprincess there too!
This book sounds so good and I can‘t wait to read it!
**updt: got the deets**
Have to vent but yowza!! I have a job interview on Monday and was waiting to get “more details” but . . . Crickets 🦗 🦗🦗
This is not good, right? Or do they need me to right-the-ship?! Actually, I don‘t think I would be in any role that requires “ship-righting”, but still.
Anyway 🎉 I *think* I have a job interview on Monday at 8:30 am even if I have to just show up and ask for the President 🥴🤣

Blind date with a Book! 🥰🥰🥰

Finally, I shall be able to review Eight Detectives... I read it recently but didn't want to spoil the mystery!
My own Blind Date is The Night Always Comes by Willy Vlautin. Looking forward to it 😊

Here‘s my own shortlist for the #bookerprize, in order of favourites.
I‘m cheating a bit by having TWO lists as, whilst these are my faves, I don‘t think they‘ll all make the list.
Bird-Hearts, In Ascension and Prophet Song should make the list. Study for Obedience will be on there because I hated it (!). And I think This Other Eden and Western Lane are more Booker-y than some of those above.
Looking forward to the *actual* list tomorrow!
On my way to Liverpool for a #bookshopcrawl with @TrishB and @Oryx (yes, because I haven‘t got enough books!)
Two Booker books for the train journey - All the Little Bird-Hearts on audio and Study for Obedience on Kindle.
