Reviewsbylola Sounds like this would have been a good pick for the #booked2019 prompt #clifi. I really disliked the book I read for it. 2d
reluctantangeleno Oh my gosh, this cover! 😍 2d

Nah. This was a second memoir that kept referring to the first which was annoying as I haven‘t read the first. This one didn‘t really have a strong narrative or resolution. #Edelweiss

Yaaaassss! Liked this even more than Dept. of Speculation. It‘s hard to review a book with little plot. But love the writing and style. #edelweiss

BarbaraBB Oh great. I loved Dept of Speculation so will get this one soon! 1mo

Yaasss! This upcoming novel is a sequel to The Expats. So, if you haven‘t read that one. Do that. Then pick this one up when it comes out in early 2020. #Edelweiss

I 🥰 Jasmine Guillory‘s books. This one features a slightly older couple and a Christmastime romance. Pure comfort reading. #Edelweiss

Yaaaass! This is a great novel. Not as trivial as the title and cover suggest. Great plot and lots of meaty subjects. #edelweiss

Not quite what I was expecting based on the blog. But this was a good memoir about growing up in Appalachia with an emphasis on her strong female relatives. I recommend this as a strong alternative to Hillbilly Elegy (this one focuses on Eastern KY, too).
