Finally, finally getting to the last book in the Broken Earth trilogy! I've been postponing because after I finish, I'll have read all of N.K. Jemisin's published books ☹️. But it's soooo good so far. I'm a little over halfway done and it's just fantastic. This was one of my #5startbrpredictions that I made awhile back and it's definitely living up.

JanJan If I‘ve read the Broken Earth, what do you recommend I️ read by Jemisin next? 6y
Beachesnbooks @JanJan Definitely the Dreamblood duology! Fantasy loosely inspired by ancient Egypt. First book is The Killing Moon. It's awesome 6y

@Avanders tagged me for #fivestarpredictions #5startbrpredictions. It's like asking a mom to choose her favourite kid. Plus, sometimes the books you think are going to be awesome... aren't. Okay, I'll stop stalling. I tag @LauraBeth @megt @LordAntonio90 @Lissa00 & @LeahBergen

LeahBergen Thanks for the tag! I just did it yesterday. 😘 7y
Avanders Great stack -- nice color coordinating too ☺️ and I know what you mean about trying to pick... 🤔 7y
KnjiskiZmaj Thanks for the tag😍 I'm gonna do it right now 😎 7y

I am a tad late to this game because I was terrified by stacking my upcoming #fivestarpredictions I would just wonder WhyTF I haven't already read these...
Thanks for the nudge @Jess_Read_This @Kalalalatja @Sarah83
#5startbrpredictions #allfantasyallthetime

Dragon Station Eleven is a five ⭐️read ! 😀🐉 7y
LeahBergen I'm afraid to start, too. 😆 7y
Kalalalatja That's the problem with being a mood reader - you don't always read the "best" books first ? but looks like you have made some great picks! 7y
tjwill Station Eleven! And York: The Shadow Cipher! 7y
Jess_Read_This Yes to Strange the Dreamer!! 💙💛💙💛I read The Jane Austen Project and thought it was really good! 7y

Laalaleighh Bc 😻 7y
Avanders @Laalaleighh yes! I meant to mention that... 😁 I can't wait... I've heard such good things!! 7y
GypsyKat I just read the Broken Earth trilogy, it was SO GOOD! 7y
Avanders @GypsyKat I'm so happy to finally own it!! I received it as part of the #bibliophilebookexchange 😄😄 7y
GypsyKat @Avanders Awesome! I hope you enjoy it! Prepare yourself, it is intense! 👍 7y
Laalaleighh I loveddd it! 7y
Avanders @GypsyKat @Laalaleighh you are both making me want to go read those 2 books immediately now right this second stat at once (I'm tired and synonyms are coming along poorly...) and, of course, simultaneously... 😁😁 (edited) 7y
Sarah83 S is such a great book. I loved it so much 😍 7y
Avanders @Sarah83 I'm so excited about everything about it.. I love the idea of getting to pull things out and feel deeply immersed in a story within a story... 7y

@litmuggle tagged me for #5startbrpredictions #fivestartbrpredictions and this is what I have! I'm hoping to read these all before the end of the year! 😀 The Heart's Invisible Furies is up for this month on my #TBR along with Behind Dead Eyes. Better get to it! I want to see a few more Littens predictions so I'm tagging @RestlessFickleBookSlut @youneverarrived @Nitpickyabouttrains

litmuggle I tried the zoo keepers wife it was a dnf for me. I felt like it was just throwing facts at me and not telling a story. I like non fiction so hopefully it just wasn't for me. 7y
eanderson @litmuggle oh goodness! I'm not one for facts throwing when I'm in it for the story. 7y
Nitpickyabouttrains @litmuggle @eanderson I actually liked zoo keepers wife. I thought it did a good job of telling a larger story about Poland while focusing in on the main family. 7y
eanderson @Nitpickyabouttrains ok!!! Thank you! I'm definitely going to keep it on my TBR 🤗 7y

Was tagged by @Kalalalatja to estimate my #5StartbrPredictions #FiveStarPredictions .... here're some that I think will be loved based on what I know about them and what #Littens have said ☺️👏🏽👏🏽
Oops I forgot to tag others... I haven't been around much today, so I don't know who's really already done it... but if you haven't already, what about @SamLBooks @Laalaleighh @cobwebmoth @litmuggle

Laalaleighh Fantastic choices. Although illuminae haunted my freaking dreams for like a month. 7y

Avanders @SamLBooks @Cinfhen @Kalalalatja I can't wait to read it! I keep taking it off the shelves, only to have to put it back bc real life hasn't been ... gentle lately. 😜 7y
Sace I love that background! 7y

Pickpick

Can I pick this x1000000? It was so good!! I'm always amazed by how much some writers can get into so few pages. This really had everything - diverse characters, fantasy, fairytale hints, murders and a boarding school. Come on, it doesn't get much better than that!

If I ever were to write a book, this is the kind of book I would write 👌

First of my #5startbrpredictions that came true ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

monkeygirlsmama Stacked 7y
Cinfhen Wow! That's a lot of #BookLove 😊 7y
Librariana Yay!!! Look at you go through those #5startbrpredictions! 😄 Will your next read be from that stack or will you be picking something different? 7y
See All 16 Comments
Kalalalatja @Librariana hmm, I don't know yet. I'm a big mood reader, and there definitely is a connection between which books I think I will love and my excitement about reading them 😄 but the other books were somewhat longer, and I'm kinda busy with school at the moment, so I'm mostly going for shorter reads. So who knows 😄 7y
Kalalalatja @Cinfhen I'm positively overflowing with it 😄 7y
I-read-and-eat That sounds like my kind of book! 7y
mhillis Great review! I'm reading this now 7y
TieDyeDude Glad you liked it. Book 2 is out, and book 3 is coming early 2018 😁 7y
Kalalalatja @I-read-and-eat I really think you will like it! 7y
Kalalalatja @mhillis how are you liking it so far? 😊 7y
Kalalalatja @GoodForCirculation I know! I'm trying to limit my book buying at the moment, so book 2 will have to wait for a bit. But it is always great to have something to look forward too 😄 7y
aeeklund YESSSSSSSSS!!!! 7y
ferskner I LOVE this series! Totally agree that it's impressive how much she fits into so few pages. 7y
Kalalalatja @ferskner and I love that it doesn't feel rushed either! That takes skills 👏 7y
Kalalalatja @aeeklund Sooooo good! Thanks for the recommendation! 🙌🙌 7y

I'm very into short books at the moment (but I can feel the craving for a long book is beginning to make itself known again), so this is my short books #tbr for September. I probably won't read them all, but I love having something to choose from 📚

#AwesomeAutumnBooks

Librariana It's good to have short reads like that handy! 😊 I added three of the books you mentioned in your #5startbrpredictions post to my own never-ending TBR and I spot one of them now! 😄 7y
Foragingfantasy Ooooh that Surfacing is pretty! Mine is an ancient paperback. 7y
Kalalalatja @Librariana I love short reads, when I don't have much time to read, and here at the beginning of the school semester there's just so much going on 😊 And I'm really excited about reading it! 7y
Kalalalatja @Foragingfantasy I really like it too! It is part of some special editions Bloomsbury did to celebrate Atwood's 70th birthday 👌 7y
