I enjoyed this a lot! I liked the Percy Jackson series and this feels just as magical and adventurous.
Just finished the Lost Hero. It was ok, pretty good and entertaining read. I want to know Percy is ok more than anything. 3/5
Reading now. Really enjoying it. Sorry for not posting in a while. I have been really busy, and I'm sorry to admit, I haven't been reading a lot. Glad to be back in it, and I hope to post again soon when I finish this. I love Rick Riordan and the Percy Jackson series really gave me my love for Greek mythology.

None of my pink pens work so I apologise about the state of her shirt.
This is my drawing of Piper Mclean, daughter of Aphrodite.

Lol at my book choices. Thanks brother for ruining my life with Greek and now Roman gods. I can‘t even take it. I loved the Percy Jackson series and now, I gotta finish this dang series to make sure that Jason properly saves the world. I find riordans Roman/Greek conflict so neat. Definitely something worth reading if you‘re into this sort of thing.
Reading these books got me feeling like an awkward teenage boy. Can‘t stop or put them down. Finished the first series and I just wanna quit my job and school and become a Greek God or discover that my mom is really a goddess. That would explain my bouts of ADHD and awkwardness... #PercyJackson #HeroesOfOlympus
I loved the Percy Jackson series, and this first book of a spinoff series is a good, solid pick. Lots of action and adventure, new heroes, and plenty of Greek mythology, now with Roman mythology for extra flavor. 😃
The narration was ok, but I think I will probably read the rest of the series with my eyes.
Another #sfftbrchallenge book complete 🙌🏻
I actually think I liked this book more than any of the Percy Jackson books!
This took me a while to finish on audio. I think it's bc the action spikes and then goes back down dramatically quite a few times. It felt like it could have been split into 2 books pretty easily. But, I did like the new characters and I always like the way he weaves mythology and fiction together. A fun read, even if it sometimes took too long to climb up the coaster before the next drop.
Day 11 of #12DaysOfChristmas is the pipers, and I‘m going with Piper McLean from the Heroes of Olympus series. Piper is a demigod, daughter of Aphrodite, and part Cherokee.
I haven‘t read this yet, but plan to start this month with my 6-year-old... I loved the Percy Jackson series back before my Jackson was even born, so I have high hopes. 😃
Better than "Red Pyramid"! I love the mystery embedded in the book. I love the unexpected events. I love how it keeps you guessing. I fell in love with the new and even the old characters. I miss Percy Jackson! haha I just can't wait for the sequel. :)
Challenge | Day 29
I could talk about JK Rowling, Tolkien, Dumas, Jo Nesbø or Stieg Larsson. But as you already know that I love their work, I decided to post about Rick Riordan.
I've never been the target audience for his books, after all I just started reading them at age 22, but I always had fun with them and I believe I'll continue reading his books for a long time.

Once I got used to the change in the way the story was told compared to the PJO it was like being back in a familiar place again despite all the new characters. It was nice learning about Roman gods as well as more about Greek ones. The new characters were great and grew in their own ways throughout the book & just like the previous series you can tell it's building to something much bigger & I can't wait to see where it goes from here.
Finally getting around to reading these, after having loved the Percy Jackson series (though I read them recently - I somehow missed them way back when). Just like the previous series, this one is an excellent combo of compelling characters and well-researched mythology. (And it functions really effectively as both a continuation of the previous story, and an intro to the world for new readers).
Yesterday I saw Spider-Man: Homecoming (for the second time!!) and then I went bookshelf shopping. The picture only has a small part of them, but I can fit so much more stuff into my new shelves! I'm so happy with them, and now I can go buy more books, because I no longer have to stack them on the floor 😏
Jason scratched his head. "You named him Festus? You know that in Latin, 'festus' means 'happy'? You want us to ride off to save the world on Happy the Dragon?"
I'm finally getting to the Heroes of Olympus series! After finishing the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series around this time last year.

Even though I haven't finished this book yet and I'd like to keep my account for reviews only, I felt the need to make a comeback post so people know I'm not dead so here's my post from the grave! (also this serves as a nice transition photo since my background will be changing)
Another purchase with gifted money! I finished Percy Jackson and the Olympians with my daughter about a month or so ago -- maybe longer. She wanted to jump right in the the next series but I needed a break! So, we read Dying to Meet You by Klise, Anne of Green Gables, and most recently Wonder which we finished today. It was very important to my daughter that we start this on Summer Solstice-- she almost was Solstice; it's her middle name instead.
I have finished my .psd file that I'm content with for all my pictures here and IG. I'm going with a muted feel. I hope you will all like it as well. 🙊
