After reading the play I want to watch it preformed. Christie has such a way with her mysteries. Keeps me on the literal edge of my seat every time.

Very raw. Very very good. I love a good nonfiction. Jarrett does an amazing job telling the story of his childhood. I love a good overcoming story. How you CAN overcome coming from a broken family with the right tools. Perfect YA graphic Novel

YA lit, this has been my fave class in school so far. And this book has definitely been my favorite that I‘ve been forced to read since the View From Saturday. Story of a Holocaust survivor through her music. HUGE fan of the illustrations used in this book as well.

I‘m usually not one to read books that have a lot of build up and enjoy them. But I really enjoyed reading about the marsh girl. It was certainly a perfect summer read.

“We must remember how to love, remember what‘s important, and remember God‘s truth as it applies to our relationships.”
As I sit here in this library today and finish this book I can‘t help but remember how important my God is in my life. How important it is to incorporate God into my relationships. I love this series. And as I always say, I love KK! ❤️

The Proposal | Jasmine Guillory

Being sick and stuck at home had some advantages. This was an easy read and super hilarious. Everything breaks lose from the very beginning when Niks boyfriend proposes to her at a dodgers game 😂 literally one of my worst nightmares 🤦🏽‍♀️ the refusal and the learning to deal with life after the proposal is so good! If you‘re not a person who likes language (me) there is some. And some PG-13 sexual content. But very well written and sooo good.

Sarah's Song | Karen Kingsbury

I love kk. This story is about love and how precious it is. It took me long enough to finish this book with life and craziness. But I LOVED reading about Sarah and her song. The verse Proverbs 4:23 plays a huge role in this story and even plays a huge role in life and love. It‘s so important to guard your heart in everything. God gave Sarah her song and a Heart to love. What a beautifully written story ❤️

What a beautifully told story about a girl who has everything and in an instant, everything is taken away.
Starting over in the United States as a peasant after living a life of luxury in Mexico would be so difficult. Esperanza faces many challenges and has to overcome so much.
I loved this story. No matter what happens, never be afraid to just simply start over. It makes my heart happy that this book is read in our 5th grade. ❤️

After seeing everyone‘s reaction to the movie, I had to see what the big deal was. You‘ll all be happy to know, book is 1000x better than the movie.

Redemption | Karen Kingsbury, Gary Smalley
Pickpick

I thought I read this book back in the day, but after the ending I‘m not too sure. What a story full of sorrow and hurt and true redemption. This is a story of a woman with a cheating husband bound and determined to honor her vow to God to stay married to him. Tears. So many tears I have cried at the hands of this paperback...

Gideon's Gift: A Novel | Karen Kingsbury

I‘m a huge KK fan, so i always feel so biased when I say I love one of her books. (probably because they are fabulous!) I love the faith aspect and the positive outcome of everyone of these books. Gideons gift warmed my heart with the faith of a little girl who believed in the power of Jesus Christ. Cheesy? Probably. But I loved it all the same. Love love Karen! what an excellent Christmas time read.

Lol at my book choices. Thanks brother for ruining my life with Greek and now Roman gods. I can‘t even take it. I loved the Percy Jackson series and now, I gotta finish this dang series to make sure that Jason properly saves the world. I find riordans Roman/Greek conflict so neat. Definitely something worth reading if you‘re into this sort of thing.

I started this book about this time last year and flew through this book. I picked it back up off the shelf and relieved a few of the moments. I love a good mystery. I remember having to read the end like 4 times because I didn‘t believe what happened. That‘s what I call jaw dropping good.

I think that the reason I found this book so interesting is that this is a story that in some form is happening every day. One of the most important take away I got is that no matter where you‘re from or who you are, you still live. This story might make you mad. It may make you think. It may make you change your perspective. Just beware that this isn‘t the book for the closed minded. If you‘re up for the challenge, I HIGHLY recommend this book.

This book is life changing. Halfway through and I read this quote and I questioned a lot of the logic behind this thought. It‘s funny how this is so true. Bad things happen to good people. That‘s just how the world works. But we cant quit. And we certainly cant lose hope in people and doing the right thing. Powerful.

Reading these books got me feeling like an awkward teenage boy. Can‘t stop or put them down. Finished the first series and I just wanna quit my job and school and become a Greek God or discover that my mom is really a goddess. That would explain my bouts of ADHD and awkwardness... #PercyJackson #HeroesOfOlympus

It is a book that is written poem style. Which is strange. But super cool. It‘s written from the perspective of a 10 year old girl so the language is easy to understand.

Parts of this book are also from the memories of the author. She was a Vietnamese refugee and the persecution she endured at times made my heart very sad. I can‘t imagine going to a school and struggling to learn English and someone make fun of you at every turn.

A Wrinkle in Time | Madeleine L'Engle
Pickpick

Just finished this book. I can‘t even with the theme. I love any book with the theme of light vs. dark. The struggle of good overcoming evil is just powerful. Meg is stubborn and she has this fight in her that she doesn‘t always see. But thanks to a few friends she finds it. There is so much. The thought for bending time and space is a little out there. But still super cool. Can‘t wait to recommend this to one of my kids.
