ONE ROOM. FIVE SUSPECTS. THREE HOURS TO FIND A KILLER. 'An impressive debut' James Oswald ************** GUESS WHO A waitress. A cleaner. An actress. A lawyer. A student. Everyone is a suspect. WHERE In a locked room - with no escape, and no idea how they got there. WHERE In the bathtub, the body of a man they all knew. Someone murdered him. Someone in this room. WHY They have three hours to find out. Or they all die. THE RULES ARE SIMPLE. THE GAME IS NOT Imagine Agatha Christie had created an interactive Escape the Room game, and GUESS WHO would be the result. For fans of the DI Helen Grace series by MJ Arlidge, The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware, Ragdoll by Daniel Cole, and Rattle by Fiona Cummins. ************** What readers are saying about this gripping thriller from the new king of the locked room mystery, Chris McGeorge: 'Guess Who boils with claustrophobic intensity. Packed with gripping twists and turns, Guess Who is an inventive, entertaining locked room mystery that kept me utterly hooked.' Adam Hamdy, author of Pendulum 'Aningenious twisty mystery in a totally unique setting.' Claire McGowan, author of The Lost 'An impressive debut and a sign of great things to come.' James Oswald, author of Natural Causes 'Chris McGeorge's Guess Who is a fresh take on the locked room murder mystery. The plotting is intricate, the characters well drawn, and the pace never lets up as it drives headlong to the surprising end.' David C. Taylor, Edgar-nominated, Nero Wolfe Award-winning author of Night Life 'Guess Who is an incredibly satisfying, intelligent thriller running at break-neck pace right until it's closing pages. A marvellous debut.' Francesca Dorricott, author of After the Eclipse

This book was just filled for me. I didn't hate it, but I didn't like it either. I do, however, like sleeping kittens.

I participated in various YouTube readathon but I read 1 book per readathon.I needed to read a book with one of those word, what, when, where, etc I chose this one.Premise was interesting, 6 unknown persons tramped in a hotel room, one body and one of them is the killer. One murder connect them all. How murder was discovered, seems like a young Sherlock Holmes work. How story was developed & ended just like a James Bond style3.4/3.5⭐️But I liked it😳

Day 24 - #nosugartonight #timbittunes

Lonely feeling deep inside
Find a corner where I can hide
Silent footsteps crowding me
Sudden darkness but I can see
No sugar tonight in my coffee
No sugar tonight in my tea
No sugar to stand beside me
No sugar to run with me
In the silence of her mind
Quiet movements where I can find
Grabbing for me with her eyes
Now I'm falling from her skies
No sugar tonight in my coffee
No sugar tonight in my tea

The blurb makes this book sound a lot more interesting than I found it to be. Locked room with a dead body and one of them is the killer. They have three hours to figure out who the killer is. I thought it had potential but it just didn‘t live up to it.

Gissy I have it🙄so I guess I have to discover this unpleasant news by myself. So sad when that happens. 8mo
JoScho @Gissy I mean it wasn‘t awful but it just wasn‘t as good as I hoped it would be. But hey you may really like it. 😊 8mo
Gissy @JoScho My general opinion is that the majority of books are ok which means 3 or 3.5 stars. The really good ones are not so common and at the end, the rating will be influenced with that personal experience with book. But I love books!📚😍those stories are my babies! 🤗 8mo
JoScho @Gissy agreed. It takes a lot for me to give a book 5 stars. 8mo

Not bad. I did have higher expectations for this book based on the summary so I was slightly disappointed. It was ok.

Torn as to my thoughts on this one. I was totally gripped for maybe the first 2/3 and couldn‘t put it down but then once you figure out what‘s happening i feel it loses momentum and becomes a bit too far fetched (for me at least). It has a bit of the Saw movies feel to it and is a good ‘whodunnit‘ but the last third definitely lost my interest a bit. Still definitely worthy of a read but not as good an ending as I had hoped based on the start.

Guess Who wasn‘t in any way a bad book, just one that wasn‘t what it seemed to be billed as. While on the surface this is a lock room mystery, it truly lacks the feel of an authentic whodunnit. The twists are spoonfed to the reader, making any surprise feel unearned. A wonderful concept that becomes muted by the execution, Guess Who is a interesting character study dressed in the wrong clothes. The narrator gives a subtle effective performance.

2 STARS - Cool premise but ridiculously far-fetched twist, cliched characters and a lack of tension didn‘t make this a hit with me. Full review: http://thebakingbookworm.blogspot.com/2018/09/guess-who.html?m=1

1. There‘s a Beer Garden with Live Music near me and I took Murder Elf to hear a local band called the Pixie Duet.
2. I‘ve been to a lot of small music in the park shows. The last big concert was Beck.
3. Eating a big meal before bed.
4. Just finished The First. Gonna start American Vandal Season 2. Also watching The Killjoys and Castle Rock.
5. Either Tagged book or a friend keeps telling me to read The Hate U Give but it‘s on hold. #humpdaypost

This book follows Morgan Sheppard when he and a few others wake up in a hotel room and are told there's a killer among them.

This book was a bit slower than what I usually like but I had to stick with it because I had to find out what happened and who the murder was. Of course, I tried to guess who did it but I was wrong. 😂

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy in exchange for a review.

The premise grabbed my attention straight away and it was an entertaining read for the most part. Morgan Sheppard, a TV true crime detective wakes in a hotel room of strangers and a dead body. He has to figure out who the killer is or they all die.

Overall a good read, a couple of tweaks would have made it a 4 star read. Rating: 3 ⭐️

Thanks to Netgalley and publishers, Orion Publishing, for the opportunity to review an ARC.
