I absolutely loved it until the very end. I don‘t want to give anything away, but a couple of characters really disappointed me🤷🏻♀️. I would still highly recommend it.
I have so many things I SHOULD be doing on my day off, but...
I was reluctant to pick this up because of a break up. As soon as I picked this up I couldn't believe I didn't pick this up sooner. Lara Jean and Peter is exactly what I needed. I giggled so much throughout this book that it was hilarious. This was a great sequel to the first one. Lara Jean is truly the most relatable character ever. She is innocent crafty and likes the idea of love just like me.
Perfect Friday morning read. I had to go back and read a plot summary of the first book because it took me so long to get off the library waitlist. Continued story of Lara Jean‘s high school romance. I‘m a total sucker for this genre whether it is in book or movie form and these are especially well-done.
"There‘s a Korean word my grandma taught me. It‘s called jung. It‘s the connection between two people that can‘t be severed, even when love turns to hate. You still have those old feelings for them; you can‘t ever completely shake them loose of you; you will always have tenderness in your heart for them."
A pretty good book, 3 stars from me..although I love this quote!
These almost seem like middle school books and not YA.
I ordered myself a new Kindle for Mother's day so to get back into the swing of reading now that the semester is winding down (and finals are starting to come in!) I have more free time to get back to my books.
Starting with this one that's been on my TBR for awhile now. I didn't realize how much I missed the Covey family ❤
Happy reading! 📚📚📚
#BeatleMaynia Day 6: Let It Be
So I finished the first book and just couldn't let it be, I just had to start book 2! Although, book 1 ends on such a cliffhanger, what else is a reader to do?
~Warning massive spoilers :3~
This book has to be my favorite I've read this year so far. I just cannot believe Lara Jean. Why did she have to kiss Jhon Ambrose? What was the point? I LOVE how jealous Peter was though when he was giving back Lara Jean's necklace. But, WHY DID HE TAKE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE?? Like boi-
Oh teenage angst! Really takes me back to the days of high school and being the typical high school girl only worried about who, what, where and why the boyfriend is, whatever...
Lara Jean discovers herself in this book a little more and I really have hope that she will flourish with her new found confidence and all-in love. This is such a cute, sweet love story and just enough bad luck to keep it interesting and quite entertaining.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The first book was decent, but after swooning over the adorable Netflix adaptation, I had to jump immediately into P.S. I Still Love You. I couldn‘t even wait for my library hold. I needed it NOW. I think Han became more comfortable with her young characters here. At the core, this is a YA love story, but Han also thoughtfully tackles familial relationships, friendships, change, growth, and that pesky ol‘ social media.
I listened to the audio of this second one in the series. I feel like I want to get a print version just to count the number of times she says the three-part names of John and the dog. Good god it‘s a lot!! I found LJ slightly more annoying in this one, but could be due to the narrator since I read the first one on my Kindle. I‘ll def still read the third one. These take me right back to middle/high school loves 💕
I was worried that I wouldn‘t love the second book as much as I did the first...I was wrong. The second book made me think of first loves and gave me all the feels. 🥰
I am really loving this series. I don't know what to feel at the end of this one. I was really rooting for John there for a minute. I'm almost mad that Han made me feel anything but pure hatred for Gen 😆 Also can we please get a Lara Jean cookbook? I need that in my life. I would go broke so fast making all her treats. Looking forward to finding out how this story ends.
I liked the first book, 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before,' but I'm probably in the minority when I say when it comes to the Lara Jean and Peter pairing I'm on team 'Wish They Never Happened.' Sorry not sorry? I wasn't rooting for Josh either. I don't know what it is about the couple but I'm not on board, just bored, so I didn't enjoy this book so much. I still want to know how this ends, so I will be reading the last book of the trilogy:)
“There is still a bit of snow on the ground from the last storm, but it looks shabby, like a threadbare rug. I‘m an all-or-nothing kind of girl when it comes to weather, I‘d much rather it all melt away or have feet and feet of snow, so deep your knees sink in.”
#💯%agree I‘m waiting for a real snow storm this winter! ❄️
Peter Kavinsky has some competition! I am loving this trilogy. It's easy to read but not shallow. I relate to Lara Jean a lot (I still feel like her now at 27 years old 😆) which has made it that much more enjoyable. Theres still a few people ahead of me on the waitlist for the third book so I will wait (im)patiently to find out how the story ends!
"I don't think a girl ever gets over losing her mom. I'm an adult and it's completely normal and expected for my mom to be dead, but I still feel orphaned sometimes." She smiles at me. "But that's just inescapable, right? When you lose someone in there still hurts, that's when you know the love was real." Pg 310
