This was a great book to listen to on audio. I never knew how many unsolved murders there were that the police believed were committed by the zodiac. It was interesting to hear the patterns that graysmith pointed out in regards to when these murders occurred. This was a great true crime novel I highly recommend. Now I want to go watch the movie again

❗️new bookmark alert❗️

The other new set of bookmarks are some more famous murderers. Our other set, Serial Killers, was such a huge hit we figured we would add some other famous killers to the group.

Hope you guys like them!

Slajaunie The Zodiac killer is an interesting subject. How‘s the book? 14mo
FairyHighRoad @Slajaunie I really enjoy it so far. It‘s frustrating to know that this killer is still unknown, but Graysmith has a lot of details into who it may be. 14mo
Slajaunie I agree. 14mo

Thanks for the tag @LeeRHarry - I‘m going to play even though I‘m quite late.

1. Blue 💙
2. I‘m not much of a binge-watcher... a couple months ago, we did watch two episodes of Stranger Things in one night.
3. Tagged book. Also “Who Killed Martha Moxley?” True crime always sets me a-googling.

CouronneDhiver I‘d seen the American Justice episode on the Moxley case a million times, but I didn‘t realize how much has gone on since... reversals, etc. Astounding! 1y

"This is the Zodiac speaking..."

Truly chilling, bizarre and mysterious. This was a great novel depicting the shock and horror the Bay area went through from 1968-1981 as they were terrorized by an evasive and deadly sexual sadist.

Finished my Z for #LitsyAtoZ. Zodiac by Robert Graysmith. It was incredibly interesting to read about the zodiac killer and those involved in the case. It‘s crazy that the case was never solved and I can‘t help but wonder if the killer would have been caught if this happened today.

AlaMich @saresmoore Oh you Florida girl, you!!😉 It is pretty for a few days, and then the reality that this is the next four months of your life sets in... 2y
saresmoore Oh, right... 😬 The logistics of living in real winter boggle my mind! 2y
Centique It looks lovely to me too! I only see snow if I drive 5 hours and trek up a mountain so yeah, I‘m very naive about the reality of it 😉 2y
AlaMich @saresmoore @Centique Yeah, it can be a drag. I don't even mind the cold, it's worrying if I can get my car out after a big snow, the extra time it takes to clear off your car in the morning, etc. The logistics, as you said. (edited) 2y

The first 100 pages or so were very compelling, then it settles into a narrative about other possible Zodiac victims and suspects. A bit dry at times, but well worth the read if you're interested in true crime stories. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ P.S. Please go watch the movie if you haven't done so already! #truecrime

MinDea The movie is so good. I saw they are making a new one. Have you read In Cold Blood, Devil in the White City or American Fire? 2y
JenlovesJT47 @MinDea I own In Cold Blood. I started it a few years ago but didn't finish it cause it had to go back to the library, but I found a copy at a used bookstore and definitely plan on reading it, I'm a big fan of Truman. The movie In Cold Blood is also amazing! I got the audiobook for Devil in the White City but haven't listened to it yet. Haven't heard of the other one. Have you read Helter Skelter? IMO the best true crime novel out there. 2y
MinDea I just ordered In Cold Blood and want to read it soon. Devil in the White City is seriously very good. One of my favorite true crime books (I think this might lean into Historical Fiction since he has to fill in some gaps). I have Helter Skelter but haven't read it yet. I have always like true crime but don't pick it up often. American Fire was my botm pick this month. 2y

MinDea This isn't true crime but have you read Swans of Fifth Avenue? This is how I learned about In cold Blood and Capote. Melanie Benjamin is one of my favorite authors. 2y
JenlovesJT47 @MinDea thanks I'll have to check out American Fire. I might be biased about Helter Skelter because I'm a huge Sharon Tate fan, so I have a special interest in the case. But I think Vince Bugliosi was a genius! 2y
JenlovesJT47 @MinDea yes I absolutely loooooove Swans of Fifth Avenue! One of the reasons I'm fascinated with Truman. It inspired me to learn more about him and his "swans" and I've read several books about them. 2y
MinDea Have you read her other books? Alice I have Been is what got me into Historical Fiction and The Aviator's Wife. So good! I read they are turning Swans into a movie or tv show! 2y
JenlovesJT47 @MinDea a TV show?! 😱That would be awesome! 2y
JenlovesJT47 @MinDea I haven't read her other books yet, besides the short story she wrote about Slim Hawks, but they're on my TBR list! 2y
JenlovesJT47 @MinDea awesome! She actually looks like Babe a little in that picture. 2y

After rewatching one of my favorite movies last week, I decided to splurge and buy the book the movie is based on. Can't wait! For those of you who haven't seen Zodiac, in my personal opinion it is a masterpiece. Definitely one of the most well done true crime movies I've ever seen. Plus we get eye candy in the form of Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo. What's not to like? #truecrime #zodiac

Just finished my second audio book this morning! This book scared me. I knew about the Zodiac killer but didn't really know many of the details before this. They had some good suspects but he was never caught. The fact that there were a variety of different suspects who matched not only the physical but also the mannerisms is frightening. I really enjoyed this book even if it did give me a few nightmares.

Took advantage of another Audible Prime freebie. The author really invested himself into the unsolved crimes of the Zodiac. Gut wrenching descriptions of the crimes and thorough explanation of the investigation. Good closure as the author explains the believed identity of the Zodiac, in his and the detectives opinions. 🕵✉️📰
