Movie: Lincoln

AnnCrystal The only movie I ever saw about Lincoln was: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012)...LOL 8h
TheSpineView @AnnCrystal I've not seen that one! 8h
AnnCrystal @TheSpineView Been a long time since I've seen this one. It was slow going, yet very entertaining. Good, although it didn't make it on my top favorites list.

Oh, if you haven't seen Dracula Untold, highly recommend this film. This film did a brilliant job in combining some of the real history with the fiction character we've come to know as Dracula. Dracula Untold did make it on my favorites list.

AnnCrystal @TheSpineView Dracula Untold is a 2014 film. 7h
CatLass007 @AnnCrystal I read the book but I‘ve never seen the movie. (edited) 7h
AnnCrystal @CatLass007 I never knew there was a book. Was it good? 6h
CatLass007 @AnnCrystal It was okay. Maybe 3/5 ⭐️. If we‘re talking about coming up with an unusual concept for a person or characters, I prefer Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. 6h
AnnCrystal @CatLass007 true. The movie version was interesting, just a little slow on the storyline. Oh, I saw the previews on Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. That almost had me wanting to watch it...but Zombies freak me out LOL. Go figure, paranormal obsessed me is freaked out by zombies...LOL 6h

CatLass007 @AnnCrystal There was a Pride and Prejudice and Zombies movie? I listened to the Audible three book series. I actually haven‘t finished the third one yet. I totally agree with you about zombies. I absolutely hate them. As a general rule I don‘t read about them and I definitely don‘t watch movies or TV shows about them. I‘ve seen exactly one zombie movie in my life and that was enough. It was B&W, and made in 1968. I watched it in 1980. (cont)⬇️ 6h
CatLass007 @AnnCrystal Since it was in black and white, the amount of gore was minimal. It actually has a good storyline. I like the paranormal, I enjoy fantasy in general, and my Mom raised my brother and me on a diet of Star Trek. But zombies? Include me out! P&P&Z was just fun. And actually, I enjoy pretty much any genre. I just love books. (edited) 6h
AnnCrystal @CatLass007 I believe I know the movie you're referring to, never could watch. Once, caught a little scene and had nightmares LOL 😂.

Funny thing is, my number-one favorite book series sometimes have “the undead zombie-like“ Garth Nix, The Old Kingdom books. Although, they only make occasional appearances.

For me, I'm a fan of fantasy...witches, ghost, etc.

CatLass007 @AnnCrystal I forgot to tell you the name of the movie. It‘s Night of the Living Dead. And thank you for the recommendation of your favorite fantasy series. It was already on my Audible wish list but I bumped it up. Tim Curry narrates the first three books in the series. So bonus. I don‘t know if he‘s not the narrator of the rest of the series because of the stroke or if they just decided to go in a different direction. I‘ll return (cont)⬇️ 4h
CatLass007 the favor of a fantasy series recommendation. I think my favorite is the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. The Jane Yellowrock series is complete and I like it also. Faith Hunter is the author and I think her vampire origin explanation is extremely interesting and original. 4h

Both the book and movie are based on real events. Also, they both are about obsession.
