Evening reading! And going to find a glass of wine to go with it.....
I just finished this book. I had watched the movie years ago. And have been meaning to read this book, it is book 1 of 4. I am curious how it will go.
When Ethan Wate has very real dreams, so real he awakes covered in mud or sopping wet. He is shocked to discover the girl he has been dreaming about is real. And the new girl in school. Little does he know what a crazy year it will be.
“Are you a good witch or a bad witch?” This Wizard of Oz quote makes me think of this series of books, all of which have plenty of magic moments. #jazzyjune @Eggs #magicmoment Also pretend you don‘t see my reflection taking the picture 😋
Sorry for the late reply @LokiDokey I was on a trip!

Happy first day of the #bookishfitnesschallenge !! I‘ll be off to a slow start: work is busy and I‘m moving so my two mile walk isn‘t likely until Monday (working this weekend). No veggies at lunch today because I was in a rush (see above). So focusing on getting my 40 ounces of water and queuing up one of my two audiobooks. Even when you can‘t meet EVERY goal EVERY day, focusing on one is better than nothing!
In my eyes, this is a very well presented book that I thoroughly enjoyed. I found that the characters were relatable and I would get along with them well should they be real people which made me feel compassionate. However, I didn‘t feel a connection to them which is a little disappointing.
The writing style was easy to follow but not simple, I was able to read fast and enjoy the book without getting frustrated with the grammar.
1 I didn‘t love the Beautiful Creature series. I read the first one but started the 2nd and was annoyed by the song and that my favorite character does. I dnf. 2. Both and together if possible. I love sweet and salty together. 3. Benita, Jesus, Margarita and Sixto 4. Annie and I still love it. I sing the songs a lot. 5. New York. #friyayinto @howjessreads
Huddled up listening to the tagged title and loving it! This is more of an audio production than most audiobooks and as someone who grew up in a backwoodsy southern area I so appreciate the wry portrayal of one. This feels much more relatable than Twilight did. 😅
Hooked immediately! Love the story line
1. Not a great picture but it's a beautiful vase my friend gave me.
2. At least 8 hours! Pretty good for me!
3. Milk chocolate
4. Not often enough! Coincidentally I got one today! Before this it was the beginning of August. I had 6 inches cut off, I'm not sure about the change.
5. Tagged...It wasn't good and it wasn't bad, and I may have loved it if I'd read it at a different time. It was just ok for me.
One of the highlights of the #SWF2018 Singapore writers Festival this year. Happened just an hour ago. Dynamic creators talking about the power of superheroines. Mariko Tamaki, in particular, was riveting. But Stohl held her own as well. Thus far, this is the only session that we truly enjoyed, but it is only the second day. So plenty of time for a turnaround.
When your sister, who never ever reads, picks up a book on a lark while shopping for DVDs at Half Price Books and reads over half of it in one day. I‘m so excited, y‘all. 😭😝😂
Lena is the new girl and Ethan falls for her quickly. Her uncle is the town outcast and her family turns out to be…unique. This witchy story is a bit melodramatic and overwrought in the way teenage romances can be, but it works and I enjoyed the listen. The audiobook contains sound effects and music, which didn‘t fully work for me, but I think it would work quite well for others. And what an arresting cover!
I guess my morning coffee motivated me to go buy some books 📚 Oops! My hubby is gonna kill me 😨
Ethan Wate & Lena Duchannes don't know it, but they were destined to meet. Despite the best efforts of Macon Ravenwood (Lena's uncle) to keep them apart, they quickly fall for each other... But their time is limited. Lena must choose a path in life by her 16th birthday. What will she choose? Will Ethan make it across the #Cemetary in time to help her with her decision? Is their love strong enough?
The movie just doesn‘t compare to the book. I loved the inside look into Lena‘s Head. I wish there was more! Just fantastic the whole thing I‘m just in awe.
Reading and working a roller derby game. If I wasn‘t hurt I‘d be playing instead 😞
Apparently this was written for a dare in 12 weeks. It shows. Yeah, I know the kids lap this shizz up but seriously this was weak - it made Twilight seem like Tolstoy. Initial set-up was identical to at least 17 other books, romance strand was familiar too. Same with characters, plot, certain scenes and motifs - heck, come to think of it was anything original in this pile of drivel?! Am ashamed it entertained me ... cont. in comments 👇👇👇
#24in48 this is the first time I've been able to meet 24 hours but not only that I exceeded 24 hours😃
I was able to read The Clan of the Cave Bear, Beautiful Creatures and Montress Vol. 01: Awakening.
3 stars for beautiful creatures. I liked the story though it was predictable and I disliked all of the characters. Ending was meh.
I'm kind of disappointed, because I love a good family tree. But I'm rolling my eyes at this book too often to bother continuing. (Anyway, this isn't a good family tree. What's with that formatting?)
