⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I reread this one since I finally got all of the books that are out in this series. I loved it both times and now realize the connections between all of the books 😂 this one shines a lot on how the Evil Queen became so vain. It‘s very well done.

Though I didn‘t knock out all my 2021 reading challenges, @Charityann posted the #FairyTaleReading challenge and I couldn‘t resist! This first book in the #DisneyVillainsSeries tells #SnowWhite from the Wicked Queen‘s perspective. She gets some background- as does the Magic Mirror- but not a name! I enjoyed the audio performance & it‘s a quick listen but not as meaty of a retelling as I prefer! Still it‘s fun & I‘ll check out more! #AudioColoring

An interesting take on the origin story of The Wicked Queen.

A good moral message on how beauty and vanity can destroy a person and become an obsession.

Definately going to read the others in the Villians series!

4✨ Callie‘s tail was tickling my neck as I finished this one. I‘m always up for a fairy tale retelling. This one did not disappoint as an origin story of the Wicked Queen. I wish she had a name besides “Queen”. I felt for her through the story as it leads up to an ending we are all familiar with if you know Snow White. The epilogue almost made me cry! It is a little dark, but not overly scary for an older kid.

An interesting take on the story of the evil queen. Very simple writing but intrigued me enough to read the rest of the story.

I love the dust jackets and hard covers of these books.

A solid 3⭐. I am going to try more of these villain stories in hopes that I enjoy them more.

The most reflective cover I think I‘ve ever seen. Found the new YA section in my local library (that I‘ve only been to twice!) and walked out with 4 books more than I had planned. So far, 115 pages into this one. It‘s been on my list for a long time now. I love villains and twisted tales.

#MidyearRush stats so far! Just passing the 39 hour mark, and still going strong. I‘ve finished my #ReadYourSign prompts, listened to 9 audios, read 8 graphic novels + 16 children‘s books, and surpassed my #goodreadsgoal. I‘m also on course to complete a few more challenges and projects this weekend, since I have no plans aside from reading and crafts.... and maybe a quick trip to the thrift store for more books! 😏☺️

Work was CRAZY today. The hospital is starting to ramp up clinics and surgeries again, which made for a chaotic day for my department. I‘m heading home to start my double #Readathon weekend with the tagged audiobook. Sorry not sorry for all the incoming posts this weekend 😂♥️

Another Disney tale that I truly enjoyed! Maybe my opinion is biased, but I‘ve always like the Disney villains, so I‘m excited to read about their sides of the stories. Hearing about the Queen‘s life, and seeing her transformation throughout the book is enchanting.

So it‘s that time again for Dewey‘s 24 hour readathon! I‘m getting a late start because I was having a bad day and wasn‘t feeling up to it at first but now I kind of regret the late start. I‘ll read till 10 pm tomorrow to make up for it. I‘m gonna start by reading Fairest of all. No photos this time around because my camera on my phone is broken :( #dewaug #reversereadathon

I really enjoyed the first book in the Disney Villains series. I also love that when you take off the dust jacket the cover has what the villain also looks like. This book gives the back story of the evil queen. It allows you to understand her more! I am so glad that I already have the other books and can continue with the series.

I am really enjoying this series! Yes, this is a series and should be read in order, BUT each book can be read alone. I actually read the 3rd book first and realized that it was referencing things from the first two.

Its an interesting concept to try and tell the villains story while working within the confines of what has already been told about the heroines. These are not literary masterpieces, but are comfort food with a twist! Enjoy!

I‘ve been a hardcore Disney fan for as long as I can remember. I‘ve heard good things about this book series. And this was an interesting turn in Disney‘s story of Snow White... given the name of the series. 😂

A little quiet time

When I need some quiet time I grab my kindle.

Finally some time to read

Ok. Snow White has never been my most favorite movie. But the story being woven here is absolutely giving me everything I want. I‘m kinda getting a kick out how the evil queen is written. Daddy issues, insecurities out the ying yang. Addiction issues. Hate fueled jealousy. She is written as the psychotic, unstable, bitchy terror I‘ve alway envisioned her as. 😂I don‘t know if I should be laughing at this but I kinda am. 🤭

Update: angry widow gets angry if she isn‘t the prettiest broad in the room. Squashes stepdaughters hopes for love. Has an addiction issue.
