4 days into the new year and I‘m already forgetting to post things. New year, same me. My goal was 400 pages and with my desperation to finish books for the end of the year I ended up reading 701 pages.

Crushed the first readathon and can‘t wait for many more this year. Thank you @LiseWorks for hosting. #Welcome2026Readathom

#26for26 day…whatever this is. Two more readathon days left. It‘s indoor field hockey season again so I spent time with my kindle between games. Also started my George Washington book this morning. I may just put my two December books aside if I haven‘t made any progress by Monday. I just don‘t find myself reaching for them.

Fell asleep before I could post last night. I got some reading done but spent the evening finishing Stranger Things (hence the red sky pic from a few days ago.) Thanks for hosting @LiseWorks even though I didn‘t finish any books I was inspired to make a lot of progress.

Day 2 - Since I like to party I decided to spend my reading time this morning deep cleaning my fridge instead of catching up on reading. I did start the audiobook for Sunrise on the Reaping though. #Welcome2026Readathon

Hoping to close out my 3 in-progress books (I‘m almost done with the #2 & midway through The Fifth Season for #SheSaid ) by tomorrow afternoon & then The Ordeals will be my crossover NYE/Day book with Cold Wire #CholeGongReadAlong & H&S #AuldLangSpine & #AuthorAMonth2026 what I start first for 2026. 📚🎊📚

Day 1 of #Welcome2026Readathon went well despite having to work. It helped that there were only two of us in and I had plenty of audiobook time. Hoping tomorrow is the same.

A correction for Wednesday's number, I forgot to include my ebook totals. Not much read yesterday. I'm trying to finish a challenge and learning that I don't enjoy “having to read“ so even though they are books I picked and am interested in I'm not feeling much reading joy. If I ever needed proof that I am a mood reader I have it. I'm not sure what I'll do for future challenges or even if I'll be able to finish this one.

I had a successful weekend reading during the #JustOneMoreChapter readathon! I finished the three books I planned, plus read a manga, graphic novel, and short story. And I started a few more titles to get me going this week!

I finished my books club book, The Weight of Blood and 89% of Lover Forbidden. Both were really good stories and I exceeded my goal of 400 pages. 466/400 to be exact 🙃.

I had a great time reading and hope you all did too.

My weekend ended up being more social than I planned but I managed to finish Undead Girl Gang, start and finish The Weight of Blood and start Lover Forbidden.

All three of these books have proven to have twist that I never saw coming. I love it.
