Got these two new books today! I just can't stop buying new books, even though I read slow and have way more books than I've read. I really do wanna get around to these soon, so we'll see when that happens.

I started reading this book almost a year ago but never got past halfway. I'm starting from the beginning again so I can finish it before seeing the friend who gave it to me. We meet up annually to talk about books, so I wanna have this one fresh in my mind when I see them again.
🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑 This book was highly recommended to me by a friend. It was a great light read, sweet and heartwarming, with a touch of tragedy and fear.
PHOTO CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If there were more stars in the regular system, I would've used them. This book ripped my heart out, stuffed it with emotions, and shoved it back in. I'm so sad to be leaving this series but so satisfied with the ending. I've developed such a strong attachment to these characters and this story, I know it will stay a favorite of mine for a long time.
Started this one a few days ago. I like it a lot more than Ishmael, that's for sure! This book so far is like Ishmael with better back-and-forth dialogue and characterization.
Onto the last in The Trials of Apollo! I have high hopes for this book, and I'm really excited to be wrapping this series up!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Yes, I'm handing out five-star reviews like lollipops. The trouble is, I simply can't seem to find any reason to rate it any lower. I loved the plot, the characters, the conflict, the action, even the pain (which there was much of) only made me love the book more. I haven't sped through a book this fast in years (I read this in 3 days), and I'm contributing that to the fact that this was such an amazing read.
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 Very insightful and has genuinely shifted my view on the world and human society especially. It really disappoints me to see how much our society has just continued to fall after this book was written, and I can only hope that things turn out like the hopeful side of this book. The only downside I had to it was the repetitive dialogue and often annoying teaching, though I suppose that's part of the character.

If it involves book burning, it's probably a nightmare." -The Tyrant's Tomb, pg.103
Since I am currently reading a series and after that am reading a strongly recommended book, I decided to roll my #bookspin result as the next in line, whether or not I actually get to it this month. It‘s unlikely, but I‘ll just keep adding to the list each time! My #doublespin is also underlined, but I won‘t be putting it on the next-up list.
I made my own version of the #bookspinbingo board I‘ve been seeing. This one is overall for the entire year, since I‘m a slow reader. If you can‘t see it, the books I‘ve finished are in pen while the unfinished ones are in pencil. When I get a bingo I‘ll color in the squares. 😊 The ‘Free‘ spaces are really just where I can put a book that wasn‘t originally on the list. This is not actually part of bookspin, just my own bingo.
First time annotating a book! This is my spare copy of The Sea of Monsters, and I really have no idea what I‘m doing. I‘m a wimp and won‘t take chances, so we‘ll see how this goes.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book was PHENOMENAL! It was packed with backstory, lore, character development, comedy, and tragedy. I can‘t even say much more other than the fact that I LOVED IT. The definition of a 5-star book in my opinion. March was actually a huge reading slump for me, and I didn‘t even get through this book until today (apr 2). But this book would‘ve been my pick for #readingbracket2025 even if it wasn‘t the only book I read that month.
I did end up choosing The House of Hades for the Jan/Feb decision. It‘s just so good, I can‘t not choose it! #readingbracket2025
“Nova shut her eyes and thought, if she were a villain worthy of the name, she would be with them now, celebrating or mourning. And if she were a hero, she would be hurrying to help any Renegades who might be trapped and hurt beneath the rubble. Instead, she listened to the sounds of the city in distress, and did nothing.”
Picking this book for the #readingbracket2025 was not a hard decision. It was a wonderful book and by far my favorite this month! Now, the hard part is going to be which book wins the bracket. Probably The House of Hades, but I‘m posting this at 1:30am and don‘t want to choose right now.
I loved this book so much! It had wonderful character development and great plot. It was also pretty funny. I love Apollo, he‘s such a dork!
“Britomartis was wrong. I didn‘t fear water. I simply couldn‘t look at the surface of any pool without imagining Commodus‘s face, stung with betrayal, staring up at me.” “I was interfering in mortal affairs— not just to save lives, or to save Rome, but because I could not stand to see my beautiful Commodus die by anyone else‘s hands.” When I tell you these two lines BROKE ME- OMG, this scene was so good but SO SAD at the same time! AAAAAAAA!!!
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 I loved this book! I was really disappointed at the ending (no spoilers) but I‘m looking forward to the next book in the series!
Did I cry? Yes. Did I love it? Also yes! I finished this book yesterday, and it was AMAZING! Here‘s my fill out of wanderinglynn‘s Off My Shelf. I‘ll be using this for any book I read this year that matches one of these. The three books I have so far are The House of Hades and The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan and Escaping Peril: The Graphic Novel by Tui T. Sutherland.
