Thoroughly enjoyed this book! I was sad when I had to stop reading to sleep ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great fictional read. Suspenseful. Unexpected ending.
Eh. Saw that coming. Pretty predictable domestic thriller. I will say i felt the characters were deliciously messed up and they kept me engaged. I wanted to see their reactions. Full of betrayal, scheming, abuse, adulterers there are tons of possible triggers in here for some people. Heads up. i did not care for the "justification for abuse plot line". No one deserves abuse no matter how horrible they are themselves.
Well. Don‘t get me wrong it‘s a definite page turner, but didn‘t anyone else find that idea that someone is deserving of extreme domestic abuse to be completely bizarre? Amber sucks, and is a criminal, but is throwing someone else into that cycle of abuse the way to get out? I don‘t know! Like the tag line! That‘s just gross to me with what happens.
Jackson and Daphne Parrish have a picture perfect marriage. Amber Patterson works her way into their lives, thinking that she deserves what Daphne has.
An excellent addition to the domestic thriller genre. There were more than a few gasp out loud moments. Every character has secrets and while they might have been a tad by predictable, they were so fun to read. I would highly recommend this and will look for more titles by the author(s).
Went to a book sale today AND the casino. So fun! I got an enormous bag of gorgeous old Stephen King and Dean Koontz hardcovers in great condition. Obviously I‘m going back tomorrow to make sure any I overlooked find themselves a lovely, caring home with me 😂. My husband said well, I guess you could be asking me for money for cocaine... books are better 😂😂😂
Yet another great recommendation by @NenaB ... I absolutely loved this book. A wife, A husband, A home wrecker ... who is the true villain?
⭐️⭐️⭐️ So this book was slightly predictable with unlikable and unreliable characters. With that said, it was a quick and fun read. Amber is atrocious, and my dislike for her is what made this book a page turner. I don‘t want to give spoilers, but there is sensitive material towards the second half of the book that was def stomach turning. More psychological than thrilling! #thelastmrsparrish 💫
There were aspects of this book that I didn‘t care for. Overall, I liked it. It was full of twists and turns. Some I saw coming, and some I didn‘t. The ending was satisfying, with everyone getting exactly what they deserved. I also like the teaser on the cover: “Some women get everything. Some women get everything they deserve.” Thanks for the recommendation, Littens! #blameitonLitsy
I really liked this book! At times it was slow but once it picked up I couldn't put it down. I finished it in one day! It's not as much of a psychological thriller as I usually read, but it still kept my attention. If you're looking for a quick, easy and entertaining read, give this one a try!
Today is a perfect rainy day to cuddle up with my sweet kitty, Noelle and a good book 🐱📚🌧
This was a fun, quick, guilty pleasure read. While pretty unrealistic at times, I enjoyed hating the character of Amber, and liked the twists as the book neared it's end. I hadn't realized that the author is really 2 sisters, but for some reason I liked the story more because of this. I'm extra grateful for my healthy, loving sister after finishing this book.
I really did not like this book very much and found it to be poorly written, and I almost bailed on reading it. The only reason I kept going was because it was very clear where the story was going and what the twists were and I hoped once it got there that things would improve. It did - to an extent. It was enough that I finished reading it, but I can‘t say that I recommend it.
Still on vacation - pic is of my daughter last night at Magic Kingdom
Had picked it up from my library shelf without knowing much about it and am glad I did. It was an engaging book that was a little slow at the start but after 30%, just picked up the pace. Once reading Daphne's plot I had somewhat predicted what's her ploy going to be but it was still interesting to go on. It was amazing to see double sides of all the 3 characters and how players were being played. Overall a page turner and a good read!
In the mood for a thriller today... @Butterflyamore you must be rubbing off on me!
How far would you go for the perfect life? Would you pick the perfect man, with the perfect bank account, and perfect social life? Too bad the perfect man is already married, but then that didn't stop Amber Patterson! Moral of the story"Be careful what you wish for."
My connecting flight from Dallas to San Francisco got canceled. I have a five hour layover in DFW until my flight. I‘ve been enjoying the artwork at the airport while I‘m audiowalking! Also I get to join @litsybookclub discussion for the great The Flight Attendant 👩🏻✈️ at the Dallas airport!! #AudioWalking #LitsyBookClub
Amber Patterson is fed up being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She feels that she deserves more. A life full of money and power, a life like that of a blonde-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish. Daphne is a socialite and philanthropist who is married to, Jackson, a real-estate mogul. Jackson and Daphne are the fairy tale couple and Amber wants Daphne‘s life...and will stop at nothing to have it.
THANK YOU isn‘t big enough, Jennifer! Your thoughtfulness floors me. I have been looking forward to reading this and will be moving it to the top of my TBR. Thank you thank you for your #jb gift!
Read this book last December, and it only took one day. Page after page it became more and more interesting with great twists and turns. Daphne Parrish has it all. The luxurious lifestyle, handsome husband, beautiful children, and overall a caring and kind attitude. On the other hand, Amber's mission in life is simple, take it all away from Daphne.
I would give this 4.5 stars. There was a few things I was judging, but overall great read.
