In an unforgettable love story, a woman's impossible journey through the ages could change everything.... Anne Gallagher grew up enchanted by her grandfather's stories of Ireland. Heartbroken at his death, she travels to his childhood home to spread his ashes. There, overcome with memories of the man she adored and consumed by a history she never knew, she is pulled into another time. The Ireland of 1921, teetering on the edge of war, is a dangerous place in which to awaken. But there Anne finds herself, hurt, disoriented, and under the care of Dr. Thomas Smith, guardian to a young boy who is oddly familiar. Mistaken for the boy's long-missing mother, Anne adopts her identity, convinced the woman's disappearance is connected to her own. As tensions rise, Thomas joins the struggle for Ireland's independence and Anne is drawn into the conflict beside him. Caught between history and her heart, she must decide whether she's willing to let go of the life she knew for a love she never thought she'd find. But in the end, is the choice actually hers to make?

If someone‘s already put this out there, please excuse the repetition. This one‘s on US Kindle sale ($1.99). Lots of 4-5⭐️ reviews on Amazon and here as well. It was on my wishlist so I snatched it up! 😊🤩

nichollinlove There's a lot of real history in the book, I felt like it sometimes slowed down the story but the twist was great and it was an awesome story! Loved the book! @Ashley_Nicoletto read VERITY by Colleen Hoover. It is both weird and dirty! 😂 4w
Ashley_Nicoletto @nichollinlove 🤣🤣 I‘ve heard some commotion about this one on the internet. I own it, but haven‘t read it yet. Thanks for the rec! 4w

Oh. My. Goodness. That. Ending! The time traveling pulled me in. I was mystified by it. Somehow if you try to overanalyze it, it will just make your head spin. The story was beautiful and unforgettable. This is my first novel with this author and I am pleased to say that I enjoyed it very much.

I had high expectations about this book but it didn‘t quite deliver. The novel is interesting and educational on the Easter Rising and life in Ireland at the beginning of the 20th century. As a love story, however, it did not evoke an emotional response...

So, I completely forgot about Amazon first reads this month. Crazy! I chose the tagged book about a woman who travels to Ireland to scatter her grandpa's ashes and is transported back to 1921. The Broken Circle about the author's escape from Afghanistan and Where the Forest Meets the Stars about a mysterious girl who claims to be from the stars and sent to witness five miracles also sounded really good, so I pre-ordered them.

LazyDays I picked the tagged book also, Happy Reading! 4mo

If all men loved their wives the way I love Anne, we would be a useless lot. Or maybe the world would know peace. Maybe the wars would end, and the strife would cease as we centred our lives on loving and being loved.

Tamra 👍🏾 I went with the memoir, even though that‘s not my favorite genre. It seems like an interesting family saga. 4mo
