Definite pick. The authors state that they wanted to created a space opera that focused on what could happen in between now and when humans are truly roaming the galaxy. I like how this reflected in the technology. The characters were enjoyable and some of them grew on me as the book went on. There were many aspects of the plot that I was not expecting. I had a hard time after about 400 pages with finishing it just because it seemed a bit long.

kwmg40 I love this series! The TV adaptation is excellent too. 2y

Has anyone tried www.paperbackswap.com ? Just curious if it is worth it to try?

megnews I used to do it and it was great. 2y
Bookwormjillk I like it, but you have to wait a while for newer books. 2y
HollyBolly @Bookwormjillk Ok. That doesn't bother me. I prefer paperbacks over hardbacks so I usually don't get new releases. 2y

Wasn't my favorite of the year, but a decent fantasy. This one did the thing that I struggle with for many fantasy worlds. Why CREATE a world where women are second class citizens? Are authors really that uncreative? But it was still pretty interesting and got me started on my audiobook kick.
