#readingwithcats is one of the best things in life. 🥰 It just feels wrong now to read my #kindle without the eponymous Kindle Kitty on my lap. He‘s my favorite reading accessory.

My second #bookishtattoo is finished! I‘ve been waiting for this one for a very long time, and I love it! 🥰
Reading my new 🎁 📕 in front of the 🎄 with my little feline lap warmer. Nope, I can‘t think of anything more purrfect. #christmasvibes #currentread
My Kindle, my Kindle Kitty, and the Christmas tree. A perfect Saturday. 🥰 #catsoflitsy #holidays
“Ye are blood of my blood, and bone of my bone.” #outlander #booktattoo #bookishtattoo
Well, my foster baby has become a “foster fail” and my permanent reading partner. Littens, meet Kindle Kitty! #catsoflitsy #kittens #kittenlitten 🐱🥰
My little foster baby is giving me an excuse to get in a little more reading. I couldn‘t possibly get up and disturb his nap… #kittens #currentread
#scottbrick #suzanneelisefreeman and #justincronin five feet away from me, spending two hours in conversation like we‘re all buddies? Yes please!!! What an amazing evening. 🥰 My daughter is still squeeing about getting to talk to a “real author!” about writing. #raisingwriters
It seems that every #justincronin book has a moment that makes me go “what the hell am I even reading??” I just reached that moment. Thoroughly enjoying my #currentread - and excited to meet the author tomorrow. Yay!
Re-reading before Carrie Soto gets here tomorrow. Yay for new Taylor Jenkins Reid! #newbookday
It‘s amazing what a week away from technology can do to supercharge your reading life! This is what I managed to get through in that week, and I feel like my concentration is improved as a result of it. And the tagged book…ah-mazing! 😍 #techvacation #thriller
LOL, I‘m going to think of it that way from now on too. A murder of crows, a pack of wolves, an abundance of caution. 🤣 #currentread
Yay for new Blake Crouch! His books are always page-turners. I can't wait! 📚🎉
Oh. My. Gosh. This one was absolutely unputdownable! I read the last 75% of it in one sitting. After The Chain and now this one, Adrian McKinty is on my insta-buy list!
Congrats @Hazel2019 on hitting 25k! That's so cool of you to do the #hazel201925k giveaway. 😊 Littens are the best!
I wasn't really enjoying the book much until this chapter. Mr. Collins is such a condescending bastard that I'm angry *for* Lizzy. I actually laughed out loud at her father's response here. 😂
I don't know how I've never read this before, but the kiddo and I decided to buddy read it. She loves the #classics and I'm really enjoying this annotated version! #raisingreaders
OMG OMG OMG! #droughtlander is finally over! My daughter and I took the day off of #homeschooling to have our own little #readathon to celebrate! First, an early morning trip to the bookstore (she's excited about the recent release of Marissa Meyer's new book "Gilded"), now we get a full day of reading. Yay!! #outlander #raisingreaders
I ordered this book (specifically the 40th anniversary edition) from eBay for my daughter's birthday recently. The seller sent me the current edition I could have bought for cheaper on Amazon. 😡 Do any of you wonderful Littens know where I could get my hands on this version, for a reasonable price? I've been Googling and trolling eBay for a month now, but I can't find it. My daughter is a super fan and I would really love to get this for her. TIA
(Sorry, no pretty cover in my Kindle version)
So, this was intriguing enough to read, but I honestly kind of expected to hate it. It was dark, crass, vulgar and unrelatable. And I loved it. The sumptuous writing alone was worth the price of admission. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I'm only about 50 pages in, but this is already so much better than "Rich and Pretty". I'm having a hard time putting it down! #currentread
I just finished it. No spoilers, just 😭😭😭
This one is a keeper. ❤️ #iremember #currentread
I'm really feeling the ambiance in my room lately. Perfect for long reading sessions. 🥰 I'm loving this book so far too. What a unique premise! #currentread
"Princeton, in the summer, smelled of nothing, and although Ifemelu liked the tranquil greenness of the many trees, the clean streets and stately homes, the delicately overpriced shops, and the quiet, abiding air of earned have, it was this, the lack of a smell, that most appealed to her, perhaps because the other American cities she knew well had all smelled distinctly." - Holy marathon sentence, Batman! #firstlinefridays @ShyBookOwl
Since "The Wife Between Us", Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen books are insta-buys for me. This one was good, but not as engrossing as the last two. Three and a half stars. #goodnotgreat
Coming up with #3Books that made me uncomfortable was pretty hard. I'm just not made uncomfortable that easily in my reading. These two books definitely did it though. The tagged book because of the subject matter and A Little Life because it was just so, so brutal. I actually had to just put it down for a bit a couple of times to take a break from all the sadness. Still, it's one of my favorite books from the past several years. ❤️💔
I'm SO loving this book. It might even be my favorite of the Kingsbridge series, or at least tied with World Without End. Edgar and Ragna are just as compelling as Merthin and Caris. I don't want this one to be over! 🥰 #allthefeels #currentread
Why yes, my daughter is sniffing her new book. 😂 We just got a huge, fun shipment from Book Outlet. I haven't ordered from them since they were Book Closeouts. It felt like Christmas! #booksniffer #raisingreaders #bookhaul
"I was having trouble foreseeing any future. How would we ever get back to normal after the pandemic?"
Can relate!
I'm just getting back to this book after taking a break to read Midnight Sun. I forgot how good this one is!
I've had this on my TBR forever, but for some reason the beginning just wasn't hooking me. Once I got into it, though...wow! What a beautiful, heartwarming, heart-breaking gem of a read. It's official: TJR is one of my must-read authors. ❤️
It took me soooooo long to read this book. I should have DNF'd, but so many people love it that I needed to see what I was missing. Unfortunately, it was buried in so many metaphors that I could hardly find the plot. I'm sorry to anyone that loved it. #itsnotyouitsme
I read books like this to figure out my mom, who is an alcoholic. This one had me highlighting like crazy. #currentread #booksaremyaddiction
Just doing some needlework while I #readandlisten - I love relaxing Saturdays. 🥰 #audiobook #newyork
The premise of this one sounds fascinating. I think I'm going to be up late tonight! 📖 📚 #currentread
I think I've read almost every ex-FLDS biography out there, but this one was still worth the read. It was fascinating (and disturbing!) to hear about Warren Jeffs from his own daughter.
That last line... *swoon* 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 #outlander #reread
All of these for $3? Yes please! I haven't read #petsematary since it first came out, so it's time for a re-read to see how it holds up. The poetry is for #homeschool and the others are because I canceled my #BoTM membership earlier this year, so I've missed a lot of their picks. Thank you to whoever dropped them off at my library's book sale! Their loss is my gain! 😉💗
I'd rather have this in hardcover, but didn't want to spend the money (too many book hauls lately! #sorrynotsorry 😉), so I'm thrilled that I got my library hold so quickly. Hold times have gotten so crazy lately that less than a month seems positively speedy! I'm looking forward to what sounds like a throwback to the Stephen King of old. 📚❤️
My daughter's #bookhaul from yesterday's Half Price Books trip. She negotiated to make this a monthly occurrence if she does her best in (home)school. This was a stellar month, so she earned it! 💕 #homeschool #raisingreaders
Blast from the past, anyone?? I found this when cleaning out my closet. It's a Love's Baby Soft beach towel I've had since I was about 10. 😱
The #bookhaul was from a Half Price Books run with my daughter. She bought more than I did!! Maybe I'll post her haul too. It's so much fun #raisingreaders ❤️❤️❤️
So far, I'm loving the books in Amazon's new "forward collection". They're all super fast reads, and this one was so good I'm sorry it's over. If you like speculative fiction and are interested in AI and superintelligence (and don't easily have nightmares!), this one's for you. So chilling!!
Is anyone else a #gamer as well as a reader? I used to kind of hide it, as some people see it as childish, or a guy thing or whatever, but now I'm too old to care! I love this bookshelf; the juxtaposition of my game guides right next to my classics (they're to the right on this shelf) sums me right up. 😜 Now, back to Borderlands! #gamergirl
Happy hour at #starbucks means happy juice for my reading time, and more for breakfast tomorrow. 🥰 Healthy? Nope. #noregrets 😜 I just finished the tagged book, and it was OK, but honestly I expected more from a Kerry Lonsdale book. I could see any twists coming from a mile away. Meh.
I'm maybe 95% through my re-read of book four, and just got to...well, no spoilers, so I'll just say Ian... 😭😭😭
I love this series so much! #outlander #reread
As an introverted book nerd, I loved this book! It was a quick, fun read. I found the protagonist, Nina, super relatable, and I thoroughly enjoyed Abbi Waxman's writing style, as usual. This just cemented her place on my insta-buy list. ❤️ #summerreading
Just hanging out in the local BN, sitting in a comfy chair and reading with my daughter. P.S. - Should I get the tagged book? Trying to decide... #heaven #raisingreaders
