This Nancy Drew story was definitely better than the last ones. The different plot lines somehow made sense and were woven into each other more fittingly. I especially liked the background information on Chinese pottery. 🐲🐉

A little late finishing this one, but I enjoyed it. Not a fan of the racist language, but I liked that the mystery wasn‘t too over the top. I did guess a big twist very early, but I wouldn‘t have as a child and that‘s what matters.

I don‘t recall the girls using that kind of language in the other 25 stories that much. 🤔🤔🤔

Finished Nancy Drew # 26! Planning to continue reading them all one a month with #NancyDrewBR

So sorry for the late posts of questions, everyone!
Today has been rough. Zeke‘s lab work came back showing very bad liver values, and he‘s now booked for tests later this week. That is, if he survives until then. Thank you for the kind words about Zeke!
Anyhow, there are 5 posts as spoilers that can be found on the book‘s feed, my feed, or by searching #NancyDrewBR . Next month, we learn about The Secret of the Wooden Lady!

5. Think of the danger episodes (why Nancy thinks hunting down a guy in the dark in a forested area is a good idea, I‘m not sure! 😂)
Any stand out episodes? #NancyDrewBR

4. Any thoughts on the side characters in this installment? I loved how Nancy stumbles upon an acquaintance of Hannah and who happens to be the owner of said leaning chimney! #NancyDrewBR

3. The rest of these questions will be really vague as I have not finished the story! But, please comment away!
Nancy is in search of missing pottery from a local shop and, in connection, a leaning chimney (which I kept thinking of the leaning tower of Pisa for some reason…).
What did you think of the mystery? Good plot line or mediocre plot line? #NancyDrewBR

2. Now that we have lots of pottery thoughts in our minds, let‘s dive into the story. Can you believe it is book 26?!?
What did you think of this installment? We‘ll dive into characters and danger/action episodes in subsequent questions, but what are your overall impressions with this book? How does it compare/contrast with prior entries? #NancyDrewBR

1. It‘s time for another #NancyDrewBR discussion! This time, Nancy is learning all about Chinese pottery.
To get us into the right mindset, visit the link in the comments to learn the history of Asian pottery.

I will post the #NancyDrewBR questions hopefully some point today…Zeke had a very bad weekend, and I‘m waiting for the specialist to get back in touch with me. It‘s been a very terrible weekend, and I fear I won‘t have him for much longer.
So sorry! I will post as soon as I can.

Finished last weekend for #NancyDrewBR this one involves pottery, stolen Chinese vases & artifacts, missing Chinese nationals & the hunt for a kaolin clay pit (River Heights continues to have it all). Nancy gets knocked out so our Nancy Noggin Knockout counter #NNK moves to 12/26. 🤕 I look forward to discussing it with the group tomorrow.

Starting my #HyggeHour soon as I‘m not sure how long I‘ll stay awake. I‘m behind on my weekly reading challenges but I feel more like some effortless Nancy for #NancyDrewBR
I‘m on the couch with a cup of throat tea & no snack tonight, listening to my favorite very mellow holiday playlist.
My mood is tired & not ready for tomorrow or the week which includes a Hilo overnight & a board meeting.😵💫

Avoiding watching the Giants getting creamed by the Patriots 🤣 #nancydrewbr

3✨ Nancy finds herself in another mystery after she almost runs into someone standing in the middle of the road on a stormy night. More fakes being made of priceless pottery. Not a bad story. #NancyDrewBR @Librarybelle

I realized I forgot to post my review of this Nancy Drew! As always, a fun mystery and adventure 🔦💛
I'm enjoying this reading challenge so much!

Meddlesome Nancy, always foiling schemes!
Number 25 for #nancydrewchallenge, and still firmly in the George Fayne category, but we‘re getting there.
This installment had a lot of casual racism that I edited out as I read aloud. If there was one more “inscrutable Chinese” I was going to scream. That brings it down to 3/5 ⭐️

My husband and father-in-law are taking down the chimney today. My bookshelves are wrapped up tight in hopes that I won't have to clean massive amounts of dust off of all of my books!

1949 edition of one of my favourite childhood series. Time for a re-read! #nancydrew #takesmebacktomychildhood #evenbetterwithcoffee #whyisthefontsobig

I was reading on my own by the time I was 4. I graduated to early chapter books pretty early, too. I remember reading my first Nancy Drew when I was in 2nd grade after my Mom pulled it off a shelf to keep me occupied. I devoured the series. That led to The Secret Garden, the Oz series, Dr. Dolittle, and more. However, The Mystery of the Leaning Chimney will always hold a special place in my heart. #jennasfinalproject.
