Here is my January summary. I actually stuck with my reading plans for the month. I am known for changing my plans in the middle of the month. Now to set my February plan.

AlaSkaat I use two notebooks. One to write down all the books I've read-keep track of them, another all the books I read and want to read so I can check it off and cross it out when I'm done... gives me satisfaction. Lol 5y

Stopped at my local library today and came out with all these. Actually put some back too! Reality is with all my reading commitments, work commitments etc., I‘m not sure if I will pull it off- many are new so just 3 weeks. The Christie is 500+ pages. But why not?!

#MarchIntoOz #Overkill 📚It may be overkill that I made today's Potato Soup with White Cheddar & Chives while listening to an NF audiobook about a serial killer (I'll Be Gone in the Night) then start reading this NF about life inside Charles Manson's cult. I thought about grabbing another book but the next two novels in my #TBR stack (The Chalk Man & This Fallen Prey) involve killers too. Yep, sure sounds like 'over-kill' & overkilling to me! 🤣😱

This was my first book by JCO and I thought 1115 pages was total #overkill 😑 So many people love her writing so I‘m hoping this was a fluke... but I know she writes a lot of #chunksters 😬

Reviewsbylola It‘s not a fluke. As you know, I loved this one, but I‘ve read quite a few of her lengthier novels that had me wanting to gouge my eyes out by the end. 6y

BarbaraBB I really hated her We Were the Mulvaneys. Them and Black Water were better though. Still, I am not a fan and try to avoid her! 6y

#MarchIntoOz #overkill I‘ll never forget this scene from the Deer Hunter & I remember I was so young & impressionable at that time. It was “ One Shot” but the psychological trauma was in #overkill ❤️. Amazing movie, they spared us nothing. The cinema I saw it in closed long ago. A very young Meryl Streep & Robert deNiro

Jess7 I have mixed feelings about it but it can be paralyzing! Especially when you start a book and don‘t like it but you requested it so you feel like you have to finish it. I have about 11 books out right now from netgalley and The Girlfriend is just not clicking for me. I‘ve got to put it aside so I can get to the rest 6y
