The Book of Heartbreak | Ova Ceren

This romantic fantasy was entertaining but started slowly for me. The second half of the book was definitely more engaging as secrets came to light (finally), and the action picked up.
The supernatural world of angels brought wry humor and a foreshadowing of the (sometimes dangerous, sometimes heartbreaking) skeletons in the closet for several members of the cast. Ceren did a good job of weaving various storylines together to make a cohesive and🔻

robinb entertaining whole.

All in all, I found the characters root-worthy, the plotline intriguing and the writing itself well done. Other than the pacing being a little off for me, it was an entertaining read. 4/5⭐️ #coverlove 6d

This is my 3rd book from Terry, and they‘ve all been 5⭐️. Great characters (parent/siblings dynamics), great sense of place (Georgia), humorous with even a little magical realism thrown in…just all-around feel good read. If you enjoy contemporary Southern-set stories, I recommend her.
