I really tried to follow the schedule for this buddy read over on Fable. I really did. I was just too into the audiobook and kept going 🤓
I loved the characters & the story.

A fun, predictable, friends to lovers story about Poppy and Alex. I enjoyed how their relationship unfolded in terms of their trips. Poppy writes about her travels for a living and Alex goes with her once a year. It is a good book if you need a break from heavier reading (or the world) -
#BookSpinBingo and #AlphabeticalBingo updated!
Thanks for hosting those @TheAromaofBooks and @clwojick
Make agreat day everyone 🙂
Goals for #20in4 but reality is that tagged is the one I will finish - too much family fun this weekend 😄
The other books will carry over to June (which means a good start on my #BookSpinBingo for next month 😂)
Not ready for Hendrix yet - the library will let the next person read it, keep me at top of the wait list - so nice - I didn't know this was a thing 👏
Thanks hosts @Andrew65 and @TheAromaofBooks
Make a great day everyone 🌞

Officially a fan of Emily Henry and how she write complicated relationships. Love complicated people. These two are long term best friends that want different things and never saw a reason to get together. They thrives and suffered for it. Yet here they are, figuring out all over again if they can make it work. I felt worse for Alex in this one. He wants the simpler life and feels played.
Book choice #4 for my Fable book club Prof. Stacey‘s TBR. Polls will go live tonight on my fable site (see below) and my Instagram Prof.StaceyTBR.

I was sucked in immediately, but I‘ve read this book before. Not this specific book, but I‘ve read a couple books that follow a very similar plot line. Girl with a type personality meets boy with b type personality, they become friends, they try to be more than friends and mess it up, they awkwardly get back together and find out they belong together. This was written well and I really enjoyed it. Book #27 in 2023
PEOPLE WE MEET ON VACATION by Emily Henry - An irresistible romance bursting with joie de vivre (joy of living.) A fun beach read, read till the sun set.
I‘M NOT CRYING, YOU‘RE CRYING 😭😭😭 This book just cracked open my cynical heart, Lord help us 😂😂😂 @AmyG okay yep, I loved it 🤯😂
One vacation you can be any one you want.

Cute little story Alex and Poppy finding thier way towards each other
This was a chill read. Nothing too exciting, in fact kind of corny, but yeah- chill read. Book Lovers was better :)
3.25⭐️ It was ok; I was expecting it to have more of a feel like Beach Read had and ended up feeling a bit disappointed with the book. Quite honestly, I didn‘t really like the back and forth and it just didn‘t work for me. #2023 #fiction #bookreview #bookstagram #emilyhenry #romance
Was my #bookspin book for January.
THE lovliest book. All the Pam Beasley-Jim Halpert vibes. I loved it. Who says I don‘t like romance books? (Me…I usually don‘t).

February catchup review 3/
Henry writes great rom-coms! A fun read especially as we are still stuck in the midst of winter (hello 15” of snow yesterday). It felt lovely to escape with Poppy and Alex on their various vacations while outside it was cold, snowy and icy.
Poppy and Alex were a fun duo and I really liked how Henry weaves the threads of their past vacations through what was happening now to bring the story together at the end. 4⭐️
I‘d recommend this book. I really enjoyed it. I liked that their unlikely friendship was sparked during the road trip home from college. I think the character development was excellent. You understood the personal issues that were always holding them back. I liked how the author kept repeating inside jokes throughout the book. It made me feel more invested in their relationship and journey. Also, their flirting and chemistry was delicious.
A book for everyone's travels! I wasn't the only one reading it on the flight to Miami, let's just say, and I felt an immediate bond over our taste in books. I liked the heavier themes hiding under the carefree travel read.
Poppy & Alex haven‘t spoken to each other in 2 yrs. They were best friends who enjoyed traveling together every summer, but 1 summer changed everything. Poppy‘s plans a trip for Alex‘s brother‘s wedding. What will happen between them by the end?
The hype for this book was definitely guaranteed. I liked the gradual built up chemistry between the 2. The plot & the descriptions were top notch, but rest of the writing could‘ve been a little better.
I could not put this one down! From start to finish I was happy and intrigued with Alex! 🫣
This is the 4th Emily Henry book I have read and I found this equally delightful as the others. Two friends travel every summer, an opposites attract kind of story but also somewhat poignant as both feel like they are on the outside looking in. I find the characters really relatable and for a little while this book gave me a vacation from the bitter cold weather and day to day stresses of life. A light hearted story.

love love LOVED this book! friends to lovers trope was phenomenally done; it was giving massive love, rosie vibes. alex and poppy are such lovable characters. i am a sucker for romance and i love their love so much. i sobbed for two straight hours after finishing this book and i couldn‘t stop talking about it for days. absolutely adored the storytelling and watching their relationship grow out of being strictly platonic!
“It hurts to want it all, so many things that can‘t coexist within the same life.”
-Chapter 29, Page 285
“But everyone gets lonely sometimes, and whenever that happens, I buy a plane ticket and go to the airport and—I don‘t know. I don‘t feel lonely anymore. Because no matter what makes all those people different, they‘re all just trying to get somewhere, waiting to reach someone.”
-Poppy, Chapter 21, Page 217
How does Emily Henry write amazing dialogue every time? I just love her books.
Poppy and Alex are polar opposites and best friends. They used to take a trip every summer but that stopped two years earlier when outside forces worked to tear them apart.
Now, Poppy is trying to figure out how to get out of the rut she‘s been stuck in and hopes a week-long vacation with Alex will bring everything back into perspective. They just have to get over that last disastrous trip first.
