Took Wes in for his first eye appointment this week because he had scored at the top end of normal with the ped. Currently he‘s far sighted but within the normal self correction range for 5yo. But he did score as partially color blind with even reduction in both eyes. Doc said they‘ll confirm it next year but that he was likely born this way and just sees color different. So interesting. Does this affect any of my Litsy fam? If so, how?

Better late than never! #majicmonday or Saturday 😂🤷♀️
For once this answer is super easy!
1. Starter Villain
2. Variations by Morgan Hagey
3. Neverland Wars by Audrey Greathouse

I have some suspicions that Wes has my spicy brain. There‘s some good kids books that address it without labels. Read this one first, and I won‘t read it to him, but I highly recommend if there‘s a diagnosis. It felt like a hug ❤️

A little over a year into diagnosis and I realized how my ADHD, SAD, and anxiety coalesce at this time of year for dopamine seeking buying binges. So off to the library I went- only after doing a clearance shopping day the prior day 😂

This was a pick because I enjoyed the story and world building. The whole done it was obvious when a random character got mentioned halfway through.

Well I did manage 2 Bingos. It‘s possible I read an award winner or a BIPOC author, I just can‘t recall.
On the home front, this influenza is just beginning to let go of Wes. Mom continues to be struggling, but we have her set up with a new GP on Weds. I should be putting some unpaid time in at work, bc I‘m drowning in a river of molten lava, and I can‘t seem to care enough to do it😂

She may not be fancy but she‘s still here! Apparently the govt shutdown madness kept me from reading in Oct. Starter Villain (which I clearly can‘t spell 😂) won a hard fought and close battle. I would say that, Variations, and Neverland Wars were my faves. 3 romance, 1 cozy, 3 SFF, 2 graphic novels, 3 Vatican fiction, 1 non fic.
#bookbracket2025 #readingbracket2025 @CSeydel

It‘s been a freaking week you guys. We were in a car accident midday Christmas Eve. (We‘re all fine except for damage, other driver was uninsured, unknown if she had a license). My mom has been in and out of the hospital and has some unidentified neurological issue, last night in the ER she tested positive for FluA. Wes went down today. Add in general family chaos around Xmas and it‘s been a lot. Here are all Wes‘ Xmas books, minus the new Tonie👇

Man this was such a good book! I finished it right before Christmas. I loved the whole thing: premise, characters, world. I really hope there‘s another book. I listened on audio, so please enjoy a picture of Wes opening a Bluey book from Santa :)

My new supervisor killed it with Christmas, and gave us each individualized presents. Not pictured is my 2025 snitch ornament.

This was a little slow going for me, but ultimately enjoyable.

It‘s wild to me that in 2025 books can vanish out of print and digital. I finally l read this first book this summer from my very large TBR😂. I was totally captivated! I passed the book along to another reader, but soon learned books can vanish in 2025 when contracts run out. Thankfully I was able to find the author and buy some from her :)

As a corporate workaholic, I returned to my small town for the holidays, became the mall Santa, and fell in love with the champion cookie baker!

One of my work friends got me the stickers and color changing cocoa calendar to do with Wes. He‘s fully taken it out. It‘s fun to see his joy, plus the coca itself isn‘t the best😂 The one pet peeve I always have is with the 12 days of Christmas ones- that‘s not technically advent, it‘s the 12 days after Christmas 🤣🙃

Am I going to regret staying up until 1130pm to finish this? Maybe. Was I tried enough to sleep 2 plus hours ago? Definitely. Do I feel young and fun again? Rebellious? Yup😂 This book was so freaking good. Perfect blend of sarcastic humor, relationship, and spice.

Trying this one out today. My other Christmas read is falling a little flat for me.

Ummm fellow OGs to say I sprinted to open the reply notification is not an understatement. Guess who‘s back :) I‘m sure I‘m missing tags!

I love everything about this series, it‘s such a vibe! This was a good murder, contained to a dinner party.

Up in the UP off grid for a few days. Blazed through this book 2. If you like time travel and sci-fi (not space opera) I highly recommend this series. Book 3 ends the trilogy and comes out in December. Morgan is an indie writer who I know as a friend of a friend bc she was a LuLaRoe lady back in the day 😂

Wes turned 5 on the 2nd but last night was his birthday party with family. Glad I got to spend most of the day audio baking :)

Had a great weekend up at the cabin in MI- it was nice to be off grid and ignore the world for a bit. Finished this one out in my kindle. Holy cow was this book excellent! Completely novel concept (to me at least) and super engaging. Highly recommend.

This was fun. I love the setting and it was interesting to hear about Merry‘s old life coming to Rudolph.

Lady this package was utter perfection. I can‘t thank you enough, it was like a hug for my soul. I will absolutely do a buddy read just lmk when! @MaleficentBookDragon #ahrs #allhallowsread

Today has been the kind of day that only someone in corrections could understand 😂 Dear Lord, I am quite literally not being paid for this shit.😂
BUT! Look at this beautiful #ahrs #allhallowsread from @MaleficentBookDragon it‘s so pretty!

Welp, I‘ve actually had to use the dreaded evil empire for a swap. I‘m eternally grateful that the judiciary had enough money to cover us a bit, but Monday I will go into unpaid status for who knows how long. Doing it this way saves shipping, and right now we‘re cutting where we can. So @julieclair this is how your #AllHallowsRead #AHRS2025 will arrive. I used (Litsy) as your middle name to differentiate from any normal Amazon packages coming :)

1- desperately trying to focus on reframing 😂the judiciary scraped enough together to stave off unpaid status until 10/20
2- kiddo snuggles
3-puppy snuggles
4-sugar for dopamine
5- reading rainbow is coming back
#5joysFriday @DebinHawaii @Kshakal @JenReadsAlot @peaKnit thanks for the tags!

My visceral reaction was, “F*** Yes! Finally good news!” 😂❤️ Can we petition for Wishbone back too?

I just learned of this. All digital, which I appreciate. Check it out :) @TheLittensSociety #TLS #thelittenssociety put together by @AllDebooks

Just ran across this on fb. Seems as though the series is done. Wild speculation in the comments about ghost writers, death etc. Apparently the last several books have been noticeably off- grammar, plot lines etc 🤷♀️

Everything not downloaded to my phone has been locked in Audible. I‘m confused though bc it says you should have access if you purchased them with credits? Help?

This review I found via Google about sums it up. Overall, a very enjoyable and captivating story. But also so many of the same themes: Catholic Church bad, others good. Also didn‘t love the ending- spoiler in the comments.

@AmyG thank you so much for this fabulous #fallingforfallswap ! I love all of it! I waited until u had a moment to myself, Wes is going to be absolutely thrilled to have been included. Thank you!

It‘s been a minute and truthfully I‘ve been hiding😂 This world is wild man. We were on vacation Labor Day week, and staring the week before to now it feels like one horror after the next. But I resolve to spend more time reading and consuming positive content! Got this lovey and final (finally lol) #cbbc package in the mail!

Just got back from vacation in Canada where the weather and the fishing were not great 😂 Guess which of my boys was less crabby ? Lol. I did get this one in, it was fun and fast paced. Really solid read.

I saw these graphic novels at Ren Faire, so I requested them from the library.

This book was so, so good. I was completely captivated. It‘s one of those books that makes your inner child sit up and say, “I knew I was right!” I‘m so bummed that the other two aren‘t on kindle or at my library.

😂😂😂love this

We were running errands last weekend and came across a random book store. To my delight and surprise hubs pulled over. This Nat Geo book Wes picked out is soooo good! It sounds silly but who knew there were new dinosaur facts since I was a kid?! Mama is loving the learning.

I have no idea why this took me so long to read. I listened to the audio to get the physical book off my self 😂 The audio was great. Engaging and intriguing. I lost focus in a few parts where the text wandered a bit, but overall absolutely lovely. Here‘s to breaking out of a slump!

Who cares about a work anniversary? Other than my wedding, this is my next favorite. Litsy is the best place ❤️
