This was a re-read and a good one. It feels quite sinister because of how “ordinary” all the deaths are. No fancy poisons or weird weapons. This is a stand-alone Agatha and works better for it.

In memory of Sharon #sharreadathon 🩷
I saw Sharon had two Agatha Christie mysteries on her TBR including the tagged book. I‘m going to listen to some Christie mysteries and short stories for this readathon.

Can‘t wait for this new adaptation coming to BBC.

Happy birthday to Agatha Christie!
Do you have a favourite of her books?
3. Murder is Easy features several gruesome murders, more than we typically see in a Christie novel. Which murder sticks out to you, and why is it murder by infected cat ear? 🤢
#agathachristieclubR2
2. How did you feel about Luke Fitzwilliam as a sleuth? What about Bridget Conway? Why do you think Superintendent Battle was included in the book?
#agathachristieclubR2
I'm trying to get caught up, dear #agathachristieclubR2 members! This month has been awesome but insane, between a trip to Europe (with several bookish stops that I somehow didn't post) and really intense committee work. As a result, it took me forever to get through this book so I just finished last week. Posting some questions now, with May's selection questions to come later this weekend:
1. Did you like this book? Why or why not?
Delightful. Superintendent Battle didn‘t appear until near the end. And no Bundle again. Perhaps she just featured in the two books about the grand house Chimneys. I thought I had this one but I was wrong. Perhaps as usual the most unlikely .
Next Saturday off to see The Mousetrap. I saw it many many years ago in London.
The only time I‘ve remembered who dun it!
Enjoyed this one - Fitzwilliam meets a woman on a train who is headed to Scotland Yard to report a serial murderer - the woman is killed before she can get there - so Fitzwilliam goes to the village the woman is from and investigates. As usual, I didn't guess the killer - it was a quick and good read.

Make a great day everyone 🙂
Here is my #BookSpinBingo for April - assuming I will finish tagged book during #20in4 for #AgathaChristieClubR2 - although I haven't read many hours yet - busy getting caught up on Yellowjackets before the new season starts!
Make a great day everyone -😊
I did not realize these two books were the same - was waiting for Easy to Kill to come in at the library, yet tagged book already available on Libby🤦♀️ so will be starting the tagged book this weekend for #AgathaChristieClubR2 @ferskner -
I plan to actually time myself and try to read #20in4 - thanks for hosting @Andrew65
Make a great day everyone - 🙂
Also published as Easy to Kill, this is another great Christie standalone. For once, I remembered who the murderer was, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this reread - I love watching her plant the clues and red herrings. This one does drag a bit here and there as Luke spends a lot of time hashing and rehashing the possibilities, but still a solid mystery.
Uhhhh, I was not impressed lol. I've been watching a lot of Case Closed recently and idk, maybe my expectations are too high 😂😂 The case starts off interesting but I found myself drifting somewhere in the middle. I wasn't expecting the end but idk if that's a good or bad thing. I felt like there weren't enough clues but I'm also not good at mysteries so maybe I just didn't realize, lol. Ends a bit anticlimactically and the characters are meh
After reading a whole bunch of mysteries (or maybe thrillers? Not sure about the distinction), I understand better why Christie's books have stood the test of time. Sure, her mysteries can be formulaic, but they're so well constructed, and the characters are so interesting. This one was a delight to read/listen to, very much an "evil lurking in unlikely places" kind of story.
4 readathon hours, theme read, 56 points for #TeamSlaughter #scarathlon
Had some time to kill before late shift at work so went browsing in the bookshop next too work 🙃
Found this old collection of Agatha Christie book's.

This book is the 4th in an Inspector Battle series, who doesn‘t appear much. Instead, the main character is Luke, who is a private detective. This story had a great start with a woman on a train telling Luke that she knows who‘s murdering people in her village. She‘s killed, and Luke investigates. It also had a great ending. Everything in between was just okay. The Fifth Avenue Story Society follows this as my new walking book. #audiowalk
Murder is Easy is an Agatha Christie book that I haven‘t read. It was my night book, but I switched it to my walking book. The Aaronovitch book is my husband‘s and my road trip book. I took him across the bay, so we listened to it for awhile.#audiowalk
I saw this on Book Riot's Facebook page and almost spit out my tea 🤣🤣🤣
Took myself and Lady Agatha out to dinner
My addition to the #Sharreadathon was of course a lovely book. Agatha Christie just wrote such good stories, they're entertaining and engage one to try to solve the case as well. Here I went somewhat wrong 😅 As always there are a lot of characters showing up and sometimes I've had some troubles dealing with the side characters. But that's ok, I guess.
@Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Professional_Book_Dragon
A stand-alone novel where a passing conversation leads to a man tried up in a town full of murders. It did keep me guessing up until 30 or so pages before the actual end, and it was a fun and easy read for me.
I'm also joining in on the #Sharreadathon - RIP 😢 I didn't know @sharread that well, but I still want to remember her.

Starting Murder is Eady which I am reading as part of the #Sharreadathon in memory of @sharread @kaamakshi
This was a book from her TBR
I am posting one book per day from my to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new - don‘t judge me I have a lot of books.
Join the fun if you want. This is day 254.

This was my first reading of an Agatha Christie novel that did not feature Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot and I found It surprisingly good. It did feature lots of suspects in a small village where it took way too long for anyone to notice the ridiculously high per capita murder rate, giving it quite the Murder She Wrote vibe! 😆
Read as part of the #readchristie2021 challenge hosted by OfficialAgathaChristie on IG ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Finished this one today! It‘s funny it‘s considered a Superintendent Battle book, when he‘s only in it for 2 chapters.
This was a fun/weird little mystery. Luke talks to a woman on a train and he sees that she‘s turned up dead. So he has to go investigate!
Did not see the twist coming! So great and clever.
#LMPBC Round 10
Just received the last Agatha Christie book for this round of #LMPBC in the mail today! I can normally read Agatha Christie pretty quickly, so I‘ll try to get to this the first couple weeks of March.
I am mailing out the Hollow this week to Heather today. So hopefully it gets there next week. Sorry for the delay, but I‘m still trying to find a flow to my days with my new job.
A fun mystery with a good twist! I enjoyed all of the different characters!
Luke Fitzwilliam is told by an old lady on a train that she is going to Scotland Yard to report her suspicions that a serial killer is operating in her village. When the old lady meets with a fatal accident in London, Luke decides to investigate matters himself.
What with the disappearing train and the old lady's yarn, I did wonder if we'd wandered into Michael Innes territory. But no, we were safe in Christie land, and very enjoyable it was too
A guy returns to England & meets an older woman on the train who tells him she suspects several murders in her village. He ends up deciding to investigate even though he‘s not a detective. The mystery itself is interesting, but the MC is uninspiring & the romance is unnecessary (I‘m usually someone who likes the romance). #scarathlon #teamslaughter @Clwojick 16pts
@katy4peas @Marmie7 @Laughterhp - I am pretty excited to read Agatha Christie! I haven‘t read any except Murder On the Orient Express. Do any of these look good to you? I know that a couple of you have read a number of Agatha Christie‘s books.
This one kept me on my toes! Quite a page-turner, as with most Christie novels
She really is the queen of mysteries. There is something so unsettlingly delightful about polite English murder mysteries. This one was so fun! I actually shouted out when I knew who had done it. Can‘t wait to watch the Masterpiece Theater version tonight.
I have been in a real slump, unable to concentrate on anything. It took me longer than I‘d hoped, but I finished this stand alone Christie mystery and enjoyed it. Fingers crossed I can settle in to our new lockdown routine for the next few months and enjoy my books.
A retired cop on his way to London meets a little old lady on the train and she tells him of suspected multiple murders going on in her village. When she is murdered on her way to Scotland Yard he finds himself in her old village looking for a killer. Although I guessed the murderer and the motive this was still an enjoyable read. 😊
Now, Agatha, you had someone accidentally drinking hat paint in the last one! #myyearwithagatha
Day 11 of the Christmas holidays, book 16.
I won‘t be able to finish this one in the next three hours so I‘ll be ending this year and starting the new with Agatha. I have my doubts that I‘ll still be awake for the bells but I‘ll give it a go.

Not my favourite Agatha Christie but still a fun little mystery!
I read this between Apr 30 and May 2. I rated it 3.5 ⭐️ on Good Reads. I would have rated it higher but for the forced and unnecessary romance Christie foists on us.
I always love a good Agatha Christie murder, but especially those that don‘t star her main protagonists, like Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, or Tommy & Tuppence. They seem to be a little more unexpected, and this one didn‘t disappoint. Of course, the twists and turns were anticipated, but even with looking out for the sudden hints I was surprised by the ending.
Lots of snow out there today. ❄️ ⛄️
Lots of cozy mystery going on in here. Perfect day with Agatha.
