“Good morning sunshine! The Earth says hello!“
I think that this a great story for the students to think and create their own factory and allow them to express their imagination in a variety of ways.
Day 5 of #OminousOctober & today's word is Candy.
This is one of my favourite childhood books &, although I know it's not to everyone's taste, I absolutely love the more recent film version with Johnny Depp. I think it was true to Dahl's book with a dark undertone.

Libro geniale per tutte le età, dominato dal personaggio di Willy Wonka e dal suo sottile sadismo stravagante. Recensione completa: https://www.instagram.com/p/Ciar25Uscy9/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

My kids got to see their first play today…Charlie & The Chocolate Factory at the State Theatre (in New Brunswick, NJ). It was lovely to experience the play with them; we love the book and both movies…my husband and I are partial to the Gene Wilder adaptation. 🍫🍫🍫
Another car listen with the kids while on the road. We all enjoyed this. #AwesomeApril
This book was really cute! I hope any of The Office fans out there understand the Michael Scott bookmark 😆#aprilreads
I had fun again reading this to my daughter. She is really into Roald Dahl right now.
I loved Roald Dahl as a kid but somehow never read the big ones. This was better than I expected, having only seen the older movie version. I like how Wonka deals with the wretched horrible children. Now I can see the parallels in the Lemoncello books better, too. Another finish for #FabulousFebruary
I'm such a fan of this book. I love everything about it.The four grandparents living on the bed (very 2020 by the way), Charlie is so sweet, the Oompa-Loompas and their songs, Mr Wonka is SO funny and I love his logic (or should I say his illogic) behind every invention and his explanations of how things work. It's simply fantastic ♥️
Finished my first book of my spring semester! I never knew before Monday that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a book and I didn‘t know half of Dahl‘s books were written by him. What a phenomenal read. I loved it. Absolutely amazing. Felt innocence bleed through the pages. And it wasn‘t so creepy like the movie...
This a low pick because I definitely liked the first movie better. This was fun on audio. There was music but the singing was a little off (maybe because I was listening at 1.75 most of the time 😂)
First book of 2021 finished

Even as an adult, I like reading children books. It's the first time, I've read this one. As a child, I think I only read The BFG by him, and I keep great memories of it.
As an adult, I love Roald Dahl's children books, and I also would love to discover his short stories for adults. His books offer a great escape. It's good to sometimes disconnect from our world, and this book was perfect for that.
Thanks for the tag, @Annie1215
For today‘s card‘s theme of #temptation, Charlie and the Chocolate factory immediately came to mind, since my post election stress-eating struggle not to eat all the Halloween candy in the house is very, very real😅
Want to play @Kimberlone @britt_brooke ?
Charlie and the chocolate factory is about a little boy who is very poor. He wins a golden ticket to tour The Chocolate Factory along with 4 other children and by Mr. Wonka himself. One by One the children come to conflicts that get them taken out of the factory. The themes are kindness, hope, family, and chaos. If you like books about children and the secrets that Wonka has about making his spectacular chocolates, then you will enjoy this book.
Thought my fellow Littens, especially those with #LittenKittens would enjoy seeing my latest pick for #audiopuzzling. It turned out to be more of a kid‘s puzzle in terms of difficulty but I couldn‘t resist the combo of books and cat puns! 😂🤓
The Clawdyssey is my personal favorite.
Willy Wonka IRL ... I read Jelly Belly owner has a treasure hunt planned where you could ultimately win a candy factory. Is that crazy or reality?
#7days7books day3 There was a point with all 3 of my daughters when it came time to start reading chapter books to them and it was always this one which i have just pinched from one of their book cases. I also think it was an edition that came free with a box of cereal. A very important book in my life and this photo reminds me that i once had colour in my hair 😂
Thanks for the tag @BarbaraBB
7 books that mean a lot to me #day1
My mum worked at a playgroup when I was a lil‘un. She was a wonderful teacher and taught me (and so many others) to read at a very young age.
It breaks my heart that she has now lost almost all her words, and cannot read anymore, as she suffers from advanced early-onset Alzheimers.
I remember the day we picked this out together, and I‘ve reread it SO many times 💕
I‘ve been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory aloud to the girls. Today G kept insisting one more chapter! After three chapters, I had to stop because Florence clearly was no longer interested. Genevieve lost her ever loving shit and went on a rampage, which ended with her locking herself in the bedroom with the book. She just came out with the biggest grin on her face and whispered to me “Charlie found the fifth ticket!” 🥰
I finished my reread of this gem yesterday for #novelwatchingcrew March Roald Dahl picks. Can‘t help but hear and see Gene Wilder in my head while reading. It was great to revisit it!
