April wrap-up - books I read/finished in April

I‘m very happy with the diversity of the genres, especially since I planned on reading more nonfiction, literary fiction, and classics this year.

Consuming stories really helped me through the last month. I picked up A Day Like This on a whim and was totally intrigued by the plot. I listened to Agatha Christie‘s The Body In The Library and so enjoyed Miss Marple‘s detecting skills. Listening to The Map of Knowledge took some time because there was so much to absorb. The Promise Of A Kiss was a delightful historical romance escapade set in Egypt.

Here‘s what I read I April. It was a solid reading month. Valentine was my lone 5-star read, but I enjoyed almost all of these.

I read 19 books this month! Thanks to audiobooks and just having a lot of alone time.

11 were audiobooks! Now that it‘s nicer out and I can walk and run outside, I‘m doing little else.

Some of my favorite reads were:
Tagged book
Murder at the Brightwell
It Begins in Betrayal
Danger on the Atlantic

Clearly I‘ve been in a historical mystery mood.

Mollies not impressed 😆I‘m a sucker for sprayed edges 🤩 it‘s on my Easter 🐣 TBR On this occasion I think 🤔 here in the UK 🇬🇧 we have a better cover than the USA 🇺🇸 release : why do we get different covers ???

Prairiegirl_reading I‘d love to know why we get different covers, different titles and different release dates. In Canada they released Hamnet as “Judith and Hamnet” with a super ugly cover. WHY??? Just one example. 12mo
julesG The US cover looks like a rom-com. 11mo
robinb You definitely have a better cover. The US cover is very misleading. 11mo
