Always love a Harlan Coben book. This one was fantastic!
Staring my next book on this beautiful day
What did you all think? For me it‘s a - must read! It‘s been a long time since I read a book and just could not wait to tell people about it !! The relationship between the stories and the characters made this a quick read. The history of the characters and the relationship between Paige, Simon, Aaron and Ingrid made the ending a complete surprise for me.
“It‘s just that you come highly recommended,” Thorpe said by way of explanation. Meaning he expected something a little more polished for his money – not a pudgy Mexican barely 5 feet tall in mom jeans and practical shoes. These guys heard her name and expected Penelope Cruz or a lithe flamenco dancer not someone who resembled the summer help at their Beachhouse. 💜 that this description is of the best PI in this book! But shame on him!
Wanna read. Can anyone give the epub link of this book?
This book was well written and drew me in right away. The story was interesting but there were some downsides. The father's extreme wealth seemed to make it a lot easier for him to get information. I did not really care for the description of the relationship between husband and wife; too empty. Some things were repetitive. I figured out the ending too quickly. It wasn't a bad book, but you could probably find something better to read.
3.5 ⭐️- Harlan Coven and I go waaay back. I‘ve read 7 of his books so far making us practically bookish besties. 😉 .
In his latest standalone thriller, Coben focuses on a family with a missing daughter. There are lots of minor subplots and characters (which get a bit muddled in the middle) but if readers are patient, things come together for an exciting finish.

I really wanted to love this book - Coben is one of my favorite authors and my husband and I have been reading it together on our honeymoon. However, I just couldn‘t get into this one. The beginning drew me in and then it kind of fell flat. I didn‘t enjoy the ending. It was unbelievable and just disappointing. There were a few parts where I wanted to find out what would happen, but when I did it left me asking...really? Gotta love my view though!
The last few days have been busy traveling around Munich and Zurich. We have loved it, but now so excited to enjoy this view for the next 3 days - finally time to relax ❤️❤️❤️
We‘ve been saving this book to read together on our honeymoon (Coben is one of our favorite authors)!! We left this morning and have an 8.5 hour layover in Atlanta - prime reading time 🤣 We can‘t wait to get to Europe!!!! ✈️
I‘m in the minority here, but this book was ridiculous. Really? A wife is shot because the couple decide to find their missing daughter, and then as she is in a coma, the husband leaves her to play pretend cop. So over the top, and I couldn‘t like any the stereotypical characters.
A stand alone mystery/thriller from Harlan Coben. I have devoured his books for years now. This one reliably puts readers through the paces with a few twists that are hard to see coming.
Yes, I am incredibly bias when it comes to Harlan Coben novels but I loved this 😍
A fast paced thriller that had me hooked!
Would you kill someone to save your child?
Harlan Coben says inspiration for #RunAway came as he was sitting in Strawberry Fields, listening to a street musician “mangling Beatles tunes,” & thought to himself, “What if that was my lead character‘s daughter? What if she was strung out and he hadn‘t seen her in six months and he finally found her? And if I open the book, that when he tries to rescue her, everything goes wrong?”

Run Away, the new bestseller from Harlan Coben, is the story of desperate parents searching for their drug addicted daughter. As one reviewer noted, it is alternately heart-pounding & heartbreaking. And full of shocking plot twists!

Any Myron Bolitar fans out there? Did you get the friend reference? 😂😈😎💜
This is my seventeenth Harlan Coben novel so I should know the drill by now, it's not that he keep me on the edge of my seat, it's more that I'm in the awkward position where I'm not sitting, or standing, I'm crouching, I'm tense and I'm going to need a massage by the epilogue.

His father, the greatest man Simon would ever know, ... had always made Simon feel safe. ...When Simon started to have children of his own, he would try to remember how his own father had done it, ... but he always felt as though he was falling short. ... Did Simon make them feel that kind of safe? And mostly: Would his father have taken his eye off the ball and let his daughter become a junkie? Would he have stood by idly while his wife got shot?
