This is now one of my favorite books I've ever read! It was so well written, and gave me all kinds of tingles! Check out my full review! https://collyrae.wordpress.com/2019/11/04/simon-vs-the-homosapiens-agenda-review...
This is way sweeter than I thought!
This took me a minute to get into. The writting felt a bit choppy and Simon can be a typically awful teen. But about half way through I fell totally in love with him. The story is cute, and clever - mixing emails and narration - and all of the characters are distinct and creative. By the end I was completely hooked and I am so sad it is now over.
I admit, I am such a happy human with sappy YA. This book was basically perfect. I loved the cast of characters - they felt real and honest - and I frankly didn't know who Blue was until he was revealed. I couldn't believe that I didn't pick up on the major hints the author sprinkled throughout (just like Simon didn't)! I'm so glad for the representation, the dialogue about our assumptions, and the adorable romance (of course). So much recommend.

Audiobook courtesy of Hoopla. Well another recommendation that‘s not my typical genre but it‘s cute & funny as hell. I had no idea what to expect. A fun, funny, engaging quick listen. Good choice of narrators. The author picked a great secondary character to be the main character in book 2. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just finished this audiobook, and I absolutely loved it. I will admit that I‘m hesitant to watch the movie, cause I doubt it‘ll do the book justice. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Wondering if book mail made it to you?
This was such an amazing book and an amazing way to start the #newtsreadathon2019 ! Going into this I wasn‘t sure how I would like since I had heard so many great things I was completely ready to think it was so-so. By the end I was completely fan-girling over all the characters and completely in love with the story! If you haven‘t checked it out yet you need to!
Beyond sweet, beyond perfect. I don‘t think I disliked a minute of this book. It was comfortable and real, with characters you fell for again and again. Simon is, by far, one of my favorite protagonists ever. This book might just always stand out as my favorite piece of LGBTQ+ fiction ever. Becky Albertalli is one to watch.
Loved this! It was light and fun and sweet and lovely. I can see why it‘s being compared with Rainbow Rowell‘s books, though it doesn‘t quite have the depth in my opinion. But this was a thoroughly charming read. Lovable characters and a plot that dealt with love, family, friendships, and acceptance. I‘ll definitely be reading more of this series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ever since I heard about this book I've wanted to read it. When the movie came out I wanted to rest it even more. Then I saw the movie and that is when I decided this month would be the month that I read it. I am so happy I finally did. With subtle differences compared to the movie I was entertained and intrigued to know what was going to happen next. The character of Simon is really fleshed out and has a great personality.
Our teen librarian generously let me set up a pride month display! When I was 16 and first realized I was bi, the first place I went to for guidance was the library (I grew up in a small town and was afraid to confide in my family and friends). The books I found gave me validation and made me feel like I wasn't alone. I've never forgotten that feeling, and I hope teens also find our library to be a safe space where they can be themselves. 🏳️🌈
This was a really sweet book, and I loved how the emails got more and more flirty. I also liked how it portrayed coming out even when you‘re sure people will accept you, because it still sucks. #catsoflitsy
Just finished this book on a lazy, rainy Sunday. I had seen the movie first, so perhaps my expectations were already a little higher. The movie and book are different, but I like that we get a little more of post-relationship Simon here. It was well balanced in terms of the portrayal of teenage drama. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I were the target audience. #viloniareads #lgbtbooks #vhsreads #ya
Welcome to my nightly routine: a book and a dog. And welcome to my first Litsy post! I am excited to try it out, even if using it before bed might not be the best idea. #bedtimereads #yalit #lgbtlit #librarybook #vhsreads #teacherreads #viloniareads
Okay, in the movie, when Simon's mom says "you can exhale now, Simon" I lost it. The dam broke. My eyes flooded.
