What are cozy mysteries?

MrBook Excellent question! They are mysteries that aren't gratuitous with blood and gore and violence and language. That's the primary qualifier. There's others, such as a usually more upper class or at least comfortable setting, there tends to be feel-good items sprinkled throughout like tea and sweets and crackling fireplaces and lovable pets. They're much lighter fare than typical mysteries. How'd I do? 😊 7y

It's very focused on cozy mysteries (based on title, duh) and lays out the must haves and some techniques. I wish it had dived a bit more into the author's take on 3 act structure, but the advice it gave on how a cozy mystery lined up seemed valuable.
