I‘m trying out a new list so reading the books doesn‘t feel so much like a chore and I can‘t wait to dive in.

This book as a little different than the previous ones in the series because it hops back and forth between the perspectives of different characters. I enjoy that it includes the perspective of Lysander since he was previously considered an "enemy".
The book ends on a cliffhanger and I'm curious to read more!
What happens after the revolution? That‘s what this continuation of the Red Rising trilogy poses. It certainly isn‘t a happily ever after. This book does introduce a number of new characters, and has some our old favorites. I‘m glad I listened to this on audiobook, but I was still a bit lost at times. However, this was action packed and tense. I look forward to continuing the series. 4⭐️ #bookbinge #rushathon
I've read these (twice!) but my fiance wanted to know why i suggested we name the dog Pax ... so we did an audio read together.... finished Iron Gold tonight and see right for the dog in question 💕

Here‘s my choice for Letter I! Love this game!
One of my favorite author events ever—not only because Pierce Brown is as good a storyteller in person as he is on the page, but also because I went to this signing with my daughter (in middle school at the time). So fun to go together & have an opportunity to tell Brown how much we both love his books.
Have a favorite signed book? A favorite author meeting? I‘d love to hear your stories!

#CuriousCovers Day 12: Gold
Elements of gold on both of these covers. The original Red Rising trilogy is one of my favorite fantasy/sci-fi stories, and have been really enjoying revisiting them in audiobook form with my boyfriend over the past year. Still have not read the continuing books in the series.
Basically, Ragnar was Chuck Norris.
Today‘s hammock book is my Iron Gold reread for #SceptreSummer. I almost forgot just how good the writing is.
Stopped by my favorite thrift shop for book buying on Saturday and found these two “like new” hardback copies for only $1.50 each. Couldn‘t pass up such a deal, plus I needed to add these to my series collection (even though the first 3 are all in paperback). I still haven‘t started the second half of this series, so hopefully this will be inspiration to continue on this summer. The original Red Rising trilogy is still one of my fave series.

When I read this when it was first released I wasn't a big fan. Having read it now right after the first three, I loved it. 💛
Brown does a great job of showing the issues that come with war. Darrow thinks he's doing what is right and fighting for freedom, but the people of Mars are still oppressed.
Now I can finally read the newest in this series which I haven't read yet.
Audio books and planes go together like peanut butter and jelly. Really enjoying the Red Rising Saga on audiobook! The fourth one is the first one to expand into other characters viewpoints and it‘s been interesting to learn how the stories intertwine.
After reading the first three books I was really bummed when I thought the series was over. Only to find that there is this and one more book so far in the series! Lots of new characters brought in and new stories to add to Darrow‘s life. Great read! 📚 #redrisingsaga #irongold #bookfour #pick
Here we go with #4 Iron Gold. I'm not going to lie I might bail on this one. I've loved the story so far but I would have been more than happy with just a trilogy. But I could be wrong...right?

This series has easily become a new favorite. I definitely need to add these books to my permanent collection.

When the library is empty & you have no work to do....seems like the perfect opportunity to pick up a book and read 🤓😜
#Ispy a book with a white cover @MicrobeMom
Can you find a book with a brown cover @GingerAntics ?
I FINALLY FINISHED! Now I‘m still trying to figure out how I feel about it. 😂 There was SO MUCH going on that its enormity and scope was impressive, but also a bit much? A lot of the book was crazy battles and kind of setting up the pieces for the next book, and I also really didn‘t like a specific choice that was made about a character. Even so, this is such an epic book series, and I‘m excited to see how it all comes together in book 6.
Small library sale #bookhaul. I didn‘t spend as much as I usually do, but maybe that‘s a good thing! Haha! Sadly, they didn‘t have volume one of The Walking Dead, but did have 2, 3, & 4 at least!
I finished my reread of this in prep for Dark Age. I enjoyed itmore the second time around. I was able to give up all my preconceived notions of what this book should be and what should happen. That allowed me to be more immersed and enjoy it more. 5 ⭐️ Now on to Dark Age. No doubt it will be a rough one.
I finished Iron Gold, and, wow! I had a bit of trepidation starting this book after loving Morning Star so much, but it did not disappoint! The depth and breath of this world and its characters are truly amazing, and I can‘t wait (but am also scared) to see what‘s in store for us in Dark Age!
I haven‘t been able to put Red Rising down since I started reading the first trilogy, and now I have a little break before book #5. For the first time in the series, I need a break. This one ends on a weird note.
As a whole, I love this series. It‘s really unique and the characters are excellent. The world just keeps getting bigger and more detailed.
Started this on my commute and hope to have it done before Dark Age is released and Pierce Brown comes to town on tour!
A bit late with this review, but I very much enjoyed this book. Highly recommend the series. Start reading now so you can be caught up for the next book's release!
Also snagged this at the library this morning! It is a lot thicker than I thought it would be. Definitely the longest of the four so far. I‘m not sure where this is going to go after the ending of Morning Star. I have heard it‘s a lot different than the other ones but I‘m anxious to find out for myself. I also checked out the audiobook so I can listen in the car and when I‘m out walking. Another fabulous #SeriesRead I‘m looking forward to!

3 remaining in my stack from my recent hold extravaganza. A little over half way through Iron Gold, and cant wait to start Space Opera with my husband.
I was hesitant to continue the Red Rising saga after finishing Morningstar. I have to admit, I was disappointed with the uncreative ending Pierce Brown chose for his first trilogy, but I had been so sucked in by the rest of the books it had become one of my favorites. I was hesitant to begin the next trilogy with the introduction of 3 narrators outside of Darrow, but you got me Pierce! I am loving it all 😍
So excited to get back into the series! Hoping so hard this doesnt disappoint! Am I the only one that found the very end of the third book a little lack luster -- like hello show some emotion? Or is that just me haha
I just... this was incredible. The world Pierce Brown built got bigger, and I am here for it. Thank GOODNESS the next one comes out at the end of July.
This slight change between ebook and print is interesting...
Pierce Brown sure ain‘t afraid to hurt his characters. This is one of those books where everyone runs around making terrible life choices that are nonetheless understandable when you consider each character‘s view of their (often desperate) situation. It‘s also one of those books where nobody‘s really a good guy or a bad guy. Everyone‘s awful at least some of the time, yet no one feels irredeemable.
I‘m eager to see where they all go next.
And now, a deeply exciting picture of my closet. I underpoured the paint a bit so I‘ll have to finish up the last corner and do the touch-ups tomorrow. I‘m way too tired to go on tonight.
I also finished IRON GOLD, at long last! I planned to reread MISTBORN next, but I dunno if I‘m up for two audio chunksters in a row. I‘ll see how I feel tomorrow. #audiopainting
I got such a late start that it‘s 3pm and all I‘ve done is empty my closet, fill the holes, and apply the first coat to one side of my shelf. This is gonna be a long night.
On the plus side, I should finally finish IRON GOLD either tonight or tomorrow. I‘m on chapter 57 of 64 (I think). RB Digital‘s got a great catalogue, but I wish they‘d show you how much time you have left in the whole book, not just in your current chapter. #audiopainting
My morning #audiorun was on the treadmill again because it was -1 out, so please accept this greenery from my friend‘s garden in lieu of some boring photo of my feet.
I didn‘t listen to my book on Casey‘s afternoon walk because I needed a break. It‘s good but it‘s loooooong and everyone‘s making such terrible life choices. It‘s like they‘re in a genre that demands maximum drama or something.
I saw lots of robins on today‘s #audiowalk!
I also experienced EXTREME FRUSTRATION with my FitBit. I‘ve got a Zip so I‘ve gotta work harder than wristband people to start with, and today it kept glitching out on account of its crappy Ikea battery. I‘ve lost at least 1700 steps so far. Bloody hell.
Never buy Ikea batteries, friends. They‘re worse than the ones from the dollar store. #litsywalkers
I took Casey on a 3.5-mile #audiowalk for his birthday. He‘s happy AND pooped, but I know he‘ll perk up again when his friends get here. #litsywalkers
It‘s Casey‘s first birthday! My mum‘s hosting a party for him tonight, which was my cue to do some #audiobaking for the human guests. These coconut cupcakes are filled with chocolate ganache and topped with rum-infused buttercream.
(Yeah, we know dog parties are weird, but my aunt and uncle had one for their dog and it kind of set a precedent. Besides, it‘s an excuse to eat smokies and cake.)
Another 3° morning meant another #audiorun on the treadmill. It wasn‘t so bad, really. When I run inside, the view‘s boring but I get to listen to my book. When I run outside, there‘s more variety but I‘ve got Nora from the NHS in my ear telling me when to slow down and speed up.
I‘m loving this book so far and all the actors are great, but DAMN did the producer ever drop the ball on volume moderation. I hate it when that happens. ?
