Welcome to Litsy!

Today I am thankful for so much, including books! For my Kindle, libraries, little free libraries, and the opportunity to be a steward for my own 2 Heartland Little Free Libraries 😊 I'm thankful for litsy and wonderful Litten friends ☺️ For my friends, family, kids, grandkids, and fur kids ❤️. for power restored quickly, the ability to cook way more food than we'll be able to eat today, & the soup the leftovers will become tomorrow ☺️ #Thankful

I am thankful that both my children are doing such a great job of #raisingreaders. Each of the grandkids is getting a copy of this wonderful book for Christmas. Number one grandson is also getting Todd Parr‘s It‘s Okay to Make Mistakes because he tends to be very hard on himself. Darling granddaughter will love If Everything Were Pink because she‘s a princess who turns up her nose at most other colors 😂

A good reminder to kids and adults alike of all the things we have to be thankful for. ❤️ 4⭐️

Some of my favorite books!
1) Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
2) Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
3) And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
4) Matilda by Roald Dahl. I actually prefer the movie, but as a girl who felt misunderstood & who was the lone book lover in her family, I adored it so much growing up.
5) Everything by R.L. Stine because he really kickstarted my love of reading.

Bold and bright and fun. I am thankful for Todd Parr and his books and stories that I can read to my children at Thanksgiving that make them think about all sorts of things to be grateful for. And of course I chose the library page to feature. :)

Gosh, @JenP - a package has arrived from you for Maddy! What a lovely surprise and thank you so much. It‘s enormously kind of you but then, as I‘ve learned, you‘re an incredibly kind person. We‘ve decided, in true Icelandic tradition, to open any Litsy presents on Christmas Eve. She can‘t wait! 💕

I'm #thankfulfor so many things this year. The relative health I have, that I still have my Mom (and she's nearly 2 years cancer-free), that life seems to be finally turning a corner for myself and my family. I'm thankful for my two kids, Sweetpea & Chico. And I'm oh so very very thankful for this awesome place full of fantastic people. It's the only place I really feel safe (online or in public). You've grown my ❤️& mind & book stacks. 💖you all!

This year I have a lot to be thankful for! I give thanks for my daughter, my friends, my Lily! I give thanks for all the amazing stories I've poured into my brain. I give thanks to all you Littens, and your constant uplifting kinship and community. And for my new job, an especial thanks as I find going to work a joyous experience every single day. #thankful #photoadaynov16

Be #thankfulfor a healthy body. A loving & supportive family. Great friends. Be thankful for the freedom to go to a library/bookstore, choose any books we want. A good pair of eyes to read, ears to listen to audiobooks and music. Ability to put food on the table. Bad days, hard work. These are some of the things I remind myself to be #thankfulfor.
