pickI just finished listening to Redefining Realness on audiobook. It was so good! Now, I'm even more excited to see her speak at Texas State University tomorrow!
I'm not supposed to be buying any more books. But I went and saw I Am Not Your Negro, so I had to buy more James Baldwin books. Then I decided I wanted to know more about oppression, privilege, power, and fear, so I bought some theory books. Then I decided I wanted to refresh on my literary theory, so I bought another book. Finally, the newest volume of The Walking Dead came out. And that's the story of how I bought 11 books and 1 comic.
so-soMy rating is based solely on my experience with the audiobook. I love the idea of this book, but the writing style is not conducive to the audiobook format. I was very excited about the audiobook because of the full cast of celebrity narrators, but by the time I finished listening to it I had no idea what I just "read." Hopefully, I'll get a chance to actually READ this book, rather than listen to it. I'm sure my rating will go up if I do so.
