Goosebumps All the wayβ¦ this book is everything. It‘s heart wrenchingly romantic. An eternal love story of three people. At times it felt unbelievably impossible to have such a connection in a triangle love story but Cassandra Claire has a way with her words.. she is a magician when it comes to spinning beautiful phrases. Amazing amazing. Beautiful conclusion. So satisfying!

βββ lot of stuff happens in this. Alina and Mal's relationship is tested. Alina has to make some hard choices. She has yet to learn a lot about her powers and yet to grow as a confident and a mature leader. Politics vs religion is a strong theme.
Many plots were predictable but m eager to know the ending in the third book. A pleasant read.
Shadow and Bone Trilogy # 1

Only because of Mal (from the show) I started reading this. It's a nice story. Nothing extraordinary, but not bad either. Six of crows had better plot twists and more mature in writing. Grisha trilogy is for teens and adults who like simple fantasy stories.

I wanted to give it a 4 star but decided not to intellectualise the story too much. Suffice to say that the book kept me hooked till the end and the conclusion although a bit too extreme was alright. It didn‘t leave me heartbroken.. all‘s well that ends well! One tiny issue, I think thunderhead in fact used the world and it‘s people as its sandbox to play around with! It‘s a coloniser and eventually, mortality had the last laugh on earth.

WOW WOW.. I M LITERALLY HOWLING. The entire plot was so refreshing and very unique. A utopian world with such a dystopian essence.. I d rather prefer my mortal era than to live in a post mortal age where the scythedom would decide ur death.. as it always has been said since time immemorial that absolute power corrupts absolutely.. so does even in the post mortal age where there is no poverty, hunger, religion and government. I couldn‘t resist picking these up from the bookshop. They are absolutely gorgeous. Pretty little editions of Pride & Prejudice with illustrations and The Wizard of Oz.

What an amazing story. Although it took me a month to read this book, due to lack of time but I thoroughly enjoyed every page when I took out time to read it. Ending was super. We get to see Fitz grow up to be a big built man here πͺ and his anger episodes were very satisfying. Some action from him was what I was waiting for π. Love his relationship with Nighteyes and looking forward to more of their adventures together in the next book.

Witches and witch hunters. Typical story of enemies turn lovers in a made up marriage. I was surprised by some revelations but I didn‘t care much for the story. Well written though, plot is ok, clean cut story. Told from the PoV of both male and the female protagonists. Ending is good enough to leave the book at that. I won‘t however be reading the next one in this series. But it was not bad at all.

2.5 βοΈ I loved βCraveβ and that‘s why I went on to read βCrushβ. I loved Jaxon and Grace‘s relationship in Crave and wasn‘t really disappointed about it in Crush either but the direction towards which the story is moving, I have a feeling that Tracy Wolff wants to jump ships and she wants a more powerful vampire π§ββοΈ. But She is getting all messed up in her approach towards getting the desired outcome.

3.5βοΈ Vamprys and Wolven! Despite these familiar monsters and magic system, the story was nice. Although it dragged a bit in the middle, the last few chapters were engrossing and somewhat predictable. Poppy was a fantastic female character. I loved the way she fought and defended herself. I so wish she could hit Hawke once. I found him abusive π. The romance was so-so. A female centric story all in all.

#BOOKSPINBINGO.Finally managed to complete a row for November. RESTORE ME was πππ.The ending was unpredictable although as I ve been saying from the beginning, this series is very average and the story and plot unoriginal and cliched. However, i d like to read the next 2 books too as this one ended with a cliffhanger. I think I have finally started liking Warner, romance is the central theme and the rests just props. @TheAromaofBooks

Much better than the previous 2. At least readable and finally the relationships and character growth was okay. This book is not meant for people looking for more adult fantasy romance, because the romance is very teenage and YA. It‘s basically kiddish, even the dialogues are very cliched. Don‘t understand the hype.. maybe the high rating is due to more YA readers. The book is just average.
ππππ REFRESHING! Although it‘s a Twilight retell, this book has much more swoon and spunk. The vampire concept is explained as a biological evolution and thus feels quite realistic. Loved the Katmere Academy description, the whole old world castle thing was beautiful. And Grace and Jaxon Vega π₯°π₯° OMG. Such a fantastic romance. I loved Grace‘s voice. She was funny, innocent and cute. And she loved deeply and passionately. CONT. π
βοΈβοΈ N HALF. Just got done with the 1st and 2nd books. I was more interested in finishing them for #bookspinbingo rather than actually enjoying the story. A very weak plot. A mix of X-Men and the Hunger games set up but love triangle romance being the central piece. Major chunk of the narration is the internal monologue of the main protagonist, Juliette. I did get very irritated with her constant self doubts and helpless attitude. Cont.π#bookspin

Every detail in this book was amazing. It hooked me from the first page. It wasn‘t a high fantasy novel. But I love a set up where the character is an underdog and eventually becomes the Hero. Fitz‘s story from his childhood has been told so beautifully by Hobb, it‘s like reading an autobiography. A fine balance between fine writing and an entertaining story!

A fun read over all. Although I forced myself to read it despite my dislike for magical sea creatures, pirates and too much of fighting sequences (it‘s difficult to visualise it). Nice reveals. The only thing that‘s keeping me hooked to this book is the Cahr Awen theme, an ancient prophecy that is coming true for the witchlands world. But The author needs to put a page for word meanings for reference as there r many foreign words.

The narrator‘s English accent was amazing. What a sad ending though βΉοΈ.. a somber feel to the narration and such loneliness oozed from the story..

SO FAR SO GOOD! The only problem with this book is it starts without a start π€¨ not much world building, no fancy intro, no description of how the main characters look, just few stingy lines but one is able to understand the Witchery and the magic and the world as you read along. It‘s an un-glamorous world with grime ridden actors and towns. Those who don‘t care for such things can read this, but it took me sometime to get used to it...

A month to read this book! The story was far too stretched. Usually her concluding chapters are good, but in this book, even the ending was highly predictable and a whimper after such a looooong build up. Amarantha was a better villain than Hybern king. I just don‘t understand how people vomit when they are anxious, terrorised and facing other extreme emotions π€¨ Also I tried sticking out my tongue to someone when irritated but..contπ

UPDATE: I bailed because Edward‘s PoV was very boring.. infact I started snoring π΄ after reading the first few chapters... I was in no mood to do a thesis on Bella Swan. Perhaps I ll go for it sometime later when I m so extremely bored that this boring book will not seem so boring π.
Had to start this after A court of mist and fury as it ended with a cliffhanger.
βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ βRhys and Feyreβ, what a classy and a sexy couple! The initial build up on the romance front was so slow, I had left it midway and read and finished another book. But when I resumed it, I don‘t know something just changed so drastically in Rhys, as if the authoress decided to just explode with the romance angle after keeping it suppressed for too long π. Amazing plot, last bit was excellent with all the declarations n amazing ending!
βοΈβοΈβοΈ and a half. AN OK BOOK.
Phewww... just cannot put it down. It‘s just that great. A genuine story told from the perspective of a person who once was a former colleague and a close friend of Ted Bundy and who coincidentally or as destiny willed it, eventually became a part of the investigation of the missing girls all leading to Bundy.

I m surprised that I actually went on to really enjoy this book. The beginning 65% was lacklustre. Not much plot, romance was poor (heck! when did Feyre and Tamlin fall in love so deeply, did I miss out something?) It wasn‘t even a slow buildup, it was just directionless. One heroine, one magical hero, one sidekick, a big manor and some magical creatures thrown in. But the last 25% of the book did it for me. Action packed and some good reveals.
