Echoes among the Stones | Jaime Jo Wright

My 4th of July weekend read! The dual narrative transitioned seamlessly and the mystery kept me from predicting the end. Also, Collin is the epitome of the dark academia aesthetic, which made me laugh (in a good way). Picked it up because of the cover and I‘m glad I did!

I‘ve never been an epic fantasy person, but The Name of the Wind totally changed that! this is a masterpiece of our time on all accounts. Engaging, entertaining, and with INCREDIBLE worldbuilding. There was nothing about this book that I didn‘t love. Straight up Lord of the Rings-level excellence. If you want a great fantasy (or just a great read!) this is for you!

a compelling and thought-provoking allegory and story of a girl and her journey comprehending the realities of the supernatural. the ideas presented have kept me thinking about it several days after I completed the book. a good narrative that will sit with you if you let it.

An engaging (haha), convicting, and practical approach to these four stages of life. Well written and a great perspective on how to live purposefully and serve others in every stage. It especially changed my mindset on singleness and marriage! I can‘t recommend this book enough!

I WILL NEVER STOP TALKING ABOUT THIS BOOK. the worldbuilding?? FIRE. I love how each of the main characters are a twist on normal “heist” tropes, yet feel so real at the same time. An absolutely delightful read.

SO much more than your typical YA dystopia. I cried for a side character two paragraphs after they were introduced. Bracken‘s writing is equal parts vivid, gripping, and fun. I loved it.

incredible, moving book, and I can‘t give it anything less than a high rating. reader‘s discretion, though—there is a fairly graphic rape scene and other difficult elements to personally consider before picking it up.

I loved this entire series, and Winter was no different! the worldbuilding completely sucked me in and I was rooting for the characters the whole way through.
