Serge and Coleman are back! Surviving COVID quarantine with buzzard hijinks and a bong shaped like an Iguana. A killer with the trove of trivia of Florida. The high on life and high on anything dynamic duo once more find the best way to take down the boredom while also…basically taking down the baddies. Tim Dorsey, a great author-and yes, we do have some justice served to the toilet paper scalpers. And more!

Serge Storm and Coleman, Floridian duo, and my new favorites in dark comedy. Enthusiasm for FL parks, landmarks, and snorkeling (or drugs)-with a side of vigilante justice. I checked out the book based on the title. So happy I did. Dorsey left a legacy of this series. I typically go for the ghosts/monster/horror/crime genres. Tropic of Stupid (and a Serge/Coleman series!) has me hooked. Absurd but under-appreciated Florida. And the Spaceman!

Reggie I found out that there is a website where you type in your birthdate and it gives you the craziest Florida headline that has happened on that date. There were wild! 1mo
DrasticallyJill @Reggie you can never stop FL! I loved how Tropic of Stupid focused so much on the bizarre and beautiful (parks, etc.). And I think I know the website. Wild stuff indeed. How can one determine the craziest? 😂 4w

Ugh, I had such a hard time rating this book. I knew right where this story was going the whole time (possibly the author‘s intent?). I found the characters rather annoying (though unlikeabley characters don‘t ruin a book for me). It felt a little like an old Criminal Minds episode with more background and more sex (which I guess is neither good nor bad for me). Ended up giving it a pick as I could not put it down!

I love this book, but I forgot how bleak it is. Andrew, a British serial killer, fakes his own death and ends up in New Orleans, where he meets Jay, another serial killer. Together, they team up to find their next victim 🖤
Warnings: lots of them, and for those who have read Brite's books, then you mostly know what you're in for.

Had to bail on my March #Roll100 at page 118.

Just not finding the writing style pulling me in…so I will pass it along to another home.

😳Real life really is much worse than fiction.

CoverToCoverGirl Stranger than too, sometimes. Sometimes you just can‘t make up real life scenarios, especially in this current ugly disastrous parallel universe side show ... just saying. I hope you guys are doing okay in these very troubling times. ♥️🇨🇦 5mo

Wow! This book was a tangled web of lies, sex, and backstabbing….oh, and death. The ending of this book was pretty shocking and somewhat sad, even if the character that has the most tragic end was a pretty horrible person. Very well written and the dialogue had me chuckling and cringing. I loved it! I would give this 4.3 stars.

Special thanks to NetGalley for providing me this ARC.

A work acquaintance gave me these plus some others to donate to my building‘s library. Picture taken on the glorious seats of the Newcastle to Sydney trains. Already graffitied so you won‘t. Ha!
